聖心vs根德園，你地會點揀？？

我地住九龍區，鐘意KV較近屋企，而且口碑好，課程深；聖心就校風純樸，而且較大機會一條龍升小學，唔使煩。如果係你，會點揀？

when you graduate from Kenville, which school do you think you will aim for which is better than SH, and that you have confidence on getting an offer?

If you finally end up with a P1 which is no better than SH, will you regret?

Woh..GAT, many thanks for your analyze, you really solve my question too as i have the same doubt!!!
You are rite...I like Kenville but....I am really not sure if we can get any better offer than SH for P1 (given there's no guarantee for P1 @ SH but at least with higher chance i guess). In addition, I live in HK side, it seems to me that i dont have enough reason behind to forfeit SH.

Agree....我兩年前都遇到同一問題, St Catherine定Sacred Heart, 最終我都選擇左Sacred Heart, 因為考小學我都首選Sacred Heart, 點解依家唔讀呢, at least入去既機會都多d, 唔駛都時爭崩頭, 你諗下剩係根德+St Catherine有幾多人, 入得去都prefer o個幾間小學, 除非小朋友好好好outstanding, hehe, 但我o個個一定唔係, 所以我都選擇SH!

舊年亞女嘅offer係KV.PC同SH，一早排好ranking，SH排第一，PC排等二，KV排等三，所以offer黎到都唔使煩，一早己排好！KV係好，其實非一條龍的我只報了KV，係因為佢地能train到小朋友有良好讀書/做功課嘅習慣，但讀完又去邊間呢！一定係想去好嘅小學啦。咁聖心小學咪好好囉！咁不如由聖心幼稚園開好，咁咪唔使咁冒險囉…

True, sisterlo2009. Totally agree with your way of thinking and i think i will go for SH for my girl instead of KV.
Do you mind to share more about the school life for your girl @ SH, is she happy? and does she love the school? and how would you evaluate the academic side about SH?

I also want to know more about the following:
(1) Any phonics class? Start in K1/K2?
(2) Any PTH class daily?
(3) Any English class daily and how long for each lesson?
(4) Any NET/ABC to teach English?

at first, i have a KV offer.  also i have applied SH(my 1st choice) , but got rejected. I feel a bit upset, but i still suggest you to choose SH, as you don't need to go through the interviews after 3 years again, which was so exhausted and disappointed.

我只是見樓主問很多關於英文教學的問題，這樣的話SH小學是中文又會否是樓主的concern。

另外我也有SH及St Clare AM offer，St Clare是EMI而SH是中文，同比情况下我是有concern的，請問您有何意見？

我的原意是想了解學校沒有教哪些課程(eg. Phonics)，或哪些教學時間較短(eg. PTH)然後出外補下，只是這麼簡單！

個個生女既都想入一條龍女校,而聖心中學又喺頂級既Band1學校,學術程度有一定水準, 加上有學卷又唔駛交學費,仲想點? 啲人抽到Maryknoll 開心過中六合彩呀!你地唔駛捱報小學果關真喺好好彩啦!

其他人喺為咗報小學先咁緊張幼稚園教得深唔深.如果諗住直上小學就唔駛咁在乎有NET或PTH果啲!

我喺仔既媽咪都唔知幾鬼envy你地有好一條龍名校讀啦!

囡囡讀得好開心, 老師好有愛心, 好幫得手, 一D你平日留意唔到既野佢地都留意到, 好犀利, 功課唔算多, 小朋友自己會HANDLE到, 唔太擔心, 不過英文同普通話就麻麻地, 可能每日得20分鐘, 自己要下苦功, 總括而言, 都係讚, AT LEAST上小學唔駛擔憂, 買個保障, 我朋友個囡讀ST CAT, 為左小學, K1已經PUSH佢學野, 比賽, 表演, 目的係張CERT, 我覺得好辛苦, 我囡囡當然都有學野, 但佢自己CHOOSE, 我唔太PUSH, 想佢無壓力下成長!

(3) Any English class daily and how long for each lesson? - YES, BUT ONLY 20 MINS DAILY
(4) Any NET/ABC to teach English? - 囡囡K1同K2都係NET教, 不過NET唔NET唔重要, 最緊要教得好, 不過坦白講, 呢方面我覺得唔夠(時間), 但選擇得呢間學校就要接受, 唯有自己下苦功

PTH唔係日日有，一個星期2節…
NET，我唔會稱佢地為NET…
(我知的是NC = K1的安排，不肯定LK和UK會否加上時間)
到K3時，老師都會講明，如打算要讀SHCSPS，就要開好自己預備好英文…按我知道的(來自朋友)，私小那邊的英文都是一年ahead的，即P1有P2程度…

我諗我自己都會多d同個女講英文、睇下英文書，然後再出去補下，咁樣我都有信心女女嘅英文都唔會太差嘅！

想問下你這句 "到K3時，老師都會講明，如打算要讀SHCPS，就要開好自己預備好英文" 的意思，是否指如果想升P1，小朋友的英文程度是重要考慮因素？
