Sorry for the late reply. I had terrible stomachache last night and cannot sleep a bit......
Anyway, back to the question being asked. I guess you may not had read some of my previous posts. The three offers we were choosing between for our elder one were: (1) Kentville, (2) Pui Ching and (3) Sacred Heart. (yes, same as yours Sheffield!)
The list of kindergartens we applied were built around Kentville back then as our original target, since we prefer stronger academic preparation.
Then we received Pui Ching offer in early January. Although my elder one is August B, she has a rather mature character and God, she loves to share everything. So, the AM offer were not too much of surprise and for a few days..... I was considering attending both KV and PC! So we got the academic prep and PC for the one-dragon.
Then just a few days later, SHCK announced their result (that year it was much earlier with half the number of applicants and no crashes with the CNY) and our daughter got the offer, which everyone in the family were anticipating.
Having give so detail background since I dunno what your situation is really. So, hopefully by sharing these you would understand why we chose SHCK at the end. BTW, we live in N.T side and we have a younger one to follow.
The issue here is, if there is a younger son, then I may vote for PC slightly more. However, their easy curriculum is really not what we are expecting. For the case of SHCK, I originally expect they may just be similar to PC, or may be a bit better. At least there may just be a few days more of English and PTH lessons, which for me, is already enough. I don't find building strong language skills is that necessary in kindergarten, but they need to be exposed to them. (Hope this doesn't contradict each other). In simple word, I am looking for a balanced curriculum.
Just compare SHCK and PC's kindergarten, I will definitely vote for SHCK, without a single doubt. For the concern of one-dragon security, it is true that PC is by far the most secure one, but it doesn't mean SHCSPS and SHCS will not accept all the students from SHCK, at the end. I am in fact quite confident for them to eventually mange it before the start of coming academic year. This is a piece of risk which I realized while most SHCK parents assumed it is automatic. And I am willing to take this risk.
