Absoultely not around $300/hr, the original course fee is $700/45mins for 6-12m baby, after 30% discount, it comes to $490/45mins!

The purpose of the cert is unknown at this moment, there are plenty of musical course in the market, many parents think $200/hr course is average/reasonable, but some parents look for "better one", simply like a handbag made by same material but with different logos, Gucci and LV already not bad, but Chanel and Hermes even "higher" (I mean the price and image).

I guess it is all about "branding" and we need to admit HK is a competitive place and it is materialistic. Some well-known schools are actually looking for something "extraordinary".... we never know.

真係好緊張想知道個課程既具體內容, 老師係咪可以啟發小朋友對音樂的興趣等等.....好期待你上完4月份課程既comment 呀 !

其實張cert.將來會點幫到你個小朋友真係冇人知.....可能就係咁啟發咗佢架 !

如果你要入樂基, 劍鳴之類既學校, 張cert. 就未必係想像中咁有用. 我識既人都係因為關係而入到去裏面讀, 換言之係選家長......當然小朋友既面試表現都十分重要啦.

Probably, they have some tricks to attract the baby to focus on the music. My baby has been in a swimming class for 2 months and the teacher has tricks to submerge the baby in the water. I know that there is golf course in town for children who are 18m+. I wonder how a 18m toddler can play golf instead of just holding the golf ball and throw it. I guess they have the tricks. If they do, it's worth to pay the money :). Of course, you have to see whether your child enjoys the class.

No worries, mamis, I will give you all my comments after the April classes, stay tuned!!

By joining a musical playgroup, my aim is to introduce to my boy, "What is Music". What I am looking forward though, is to see if this playgroup can stimulate my son to have his interest in learning music/playing instruments at early age.

I am a musician myself so it would be pretty easy to tell if their teaching style suits my boy. It's just 3 month time and money-wise, I think it's reasonable to give it a try. It's unknown at this moment whether the certificate will help, but definitely, the certificate can polish my son's profile. I guess extra-cirriculum activities is one of the aspects that educational institutions look for in a kid.

The swimming class is organized by Harry Wright(www.harrywright.com.hk). As to the golf class, it is organized by mini golf gym (www.minigolfgym.com). It's really fun to see the little one playing golf but I don't know if I can squeeze in more classes to his "busy" schedule when he reaches 18m.
