I think it is more of a mindset problem.  Parents should not think that knowing the interview questions (even if it is possible) a little in advance can let them train their children within a very short time - we should never promote the 臨急抱佛腳 attitude.  Most interviewers can tell whether the performance is a result of short-term, intensive training or long-term accumulation and penetration.

If a child can be trained so that he/she feels excited about attending an interview, the parents will be half-way to success.

would like to share with you all my last year experience.

1st round interview:  kids are in a group, went into a room and
play sort of Lego (2 in a group).  then teacher will told a story and asked all the boys to repeat the story one by one.  parents were in the hall to watch a video about the school, whole process very smooth and no pressure.

2nd round interview, kid was interviewed by the Principal, asking simple questions, there were some cards on the table, Principal will asked questions based on the cards but required kid have their own points of views.  (That's what I observed. )  No interview for parents, but parents were sitting outside the Principal's room to view the whole process.

使乜咁緊張，比你知晒問題又點？你可以train到個小朋友乜嘢吖。上天俾咗個小朋友你教四、五年，係龍係蟲一早定了形。學校自然會從小朋友各種表現去揀。唔好咁天真啦！

你又幾有道理，知道問題又教小朋友答，都要小朋友吸收及記得，如老師的問題轉了少少或問多句又语同了，要是聰明真係教四五年睇到的了，每個人發展真不同，有人快有人慢，apply more school to interview ,you must find one suitable for your son, good luck all.

I think both interviews are hard and competitive.
As all of you may notice that St. Paul's College Primary School only offers very limited seats while they have more than two thousand applicants, they will only choose those who are really capable and suit the school. Or else, you must be somehow related to the school.

I don't think you should try to predict the questions, cause you cannot even practice. I will say, just try to be what your kid is like, the principal will choose who they want. But mind you, the competition is huge for this school... Do not be too upset if you cannot get a place. But congratulations if you can make it.

Only fewer than 1400 applicants this year, according to the time allocation table for 1st interviews.

"Related" applicants have 10 marks (20%) added to the 1st interview only.  No more extra marks for 2nd interview.

The way the answer was given (or not given) is important too, not just the answer itself.  E.g. I don't think a child who answered all questions correctly but arrogantly would advance to 2nd interview, whereas a child who politely admitted he did not know the answer would.

According to my son, there was q&a after Lego session. My son told he is able to answer all except this one..... 20 divde by 1....

If this is true, I think most kids cannot answer but only a talent 8 ...

I heard that there were 2000 applicants. But anyway, even not 200 applicants, there are 1500 applicants... And notice than they provide fewer seats... so the competition is still huge
