我都同大家一樣, 好煩.... 我PS都是GG班 (下午國際), 而KM是AM本地。

我都覺得KM國際班冇PS禁好,但我家又冇人識普通話... 所以反而本地班好似好D, 不過始終好似PS多D人爭, KM就不斷IN人收人.....

我係05年11月報名,佢會有一日派form,同一日係網上可以download張form(只係一日),你今年可以早一兩個月打定電話問邊日派form,然後12月interview.

My son hasn't studied in its playgroup before.  That's the reason why he's placed in the K1 pm session.


To all,
As I know, the school 's policy is to reserve its K1 am seats for the children promoted from its playgroup (nursery).  So if you plan to let your children studying in its K1am session, you have to attend its nursery class.
I don't know whether KM has the same policy.

我曾係BK呢度睇番黎既資料,話樂基英普班的普通話老師的母語並不是普通話...

而KM的國際班暫時係英文同廣東話為主,一週有兩堂普通話,但佢地明年度會轉制,會變全英普,不過只有下午班,而普通話老師是用普通話作母語的.

其實我唔知道母語係普通話的老師重唔重要呢?
因為我都唔識講!但諗諗下,小朋友咁細個就接觸英文外再加普通話,可能未有咁快適應到,而KM好似較循序漸進.

感覺上好似樂基多人考,可能佢集中1日面試,1次過收晒人,而KM就分開面試,不斷IN人收人,可能就咁分散左D人,但相信兩間都係好學校,若論課程計,聽講KM會深D.

但又好似聽親考呢兩間的,都係面試成功,未有見過話唔收喎!

我仲未決定讀邊間,因為樂基的課外活動又幾吸引,我問過負責老師,今年的n班有hip hop舞同音樂俾2歲小朋友參加.而它的課外話動年年唔同,好似幾好.

而km就有好多就讀的家長推薦,有好好的口碑...

所以我都係到最後個日先決定到...

我個個是仔仔呢.... 仲諗緊, 覺得好煩.... 又唔想讀pm, 今天去三聯看了不同出版社的幼稚園介紹, 覺得PS 的配套不錯, 有心理學家駐守, 又教 Phonic, 外籍老師多... 這一齊km都欠缺啊....

原來PS 的老師不是母言普通話..... 唔講唔知添.... TKS.... 原來你都覺得KM & PS 是來者不拒.... 我有好深感覺其實不用爭,大家一樣可以讀, 只是AM vs PM 及 本地 vs 國家之分!!  面試可能只是一個「勢」吧了... :   (可能其實大家都是收生不足呢......  ho...hoo)

Hi, alls,

I'm also considering KM and HKPS, as far as I know HKPS billingual classes employ both PTG and English as medium of instructions while KM employ Cantonese and English as medium of instruction from N1 to K1, K2-K3 will employ PTG and Englsih as medium of instructions.

I personally prefer HKPS also as the lauguage development and other good factors, both my hubbies and myself can speak English and PTG (not native, but fluent in certain extent) and we also expect our girl to be able to master these 2 languages but some reality we need to face is;

can any mum advise which primary schools do the graduates normally go?
I'm quite concern about the "academic", sorry to mention this but I do believe some sort of academic training still needed in kindergarten stage like word -writing, mathematics concept with simple calculations,...
I know KM is quite good on this, but I'm still not so clear about HKPS's performance in this area and the achievement of entering good primary schools.

Hope u gals won't mind to give me some thoughts.

Can any (playgroup) parents that have gone to parents'day on 8 July told me what the headmistress has said on that day and all other information told on parents' day cos I got an urgent issue that I have not go on that day.

Also can anyone tell me is P1 is the AM anglo-chinese class??
anyone also studied this class??

thanks so much for your feedbacks.

in fact, from the scratch, HKPS is my top priority to all other school as per it's language environment, small size of class, activity approach,....
what brought me to hesitate is one of my friends whose girl studied in St Catherine (this is not my cup of tea since not much PTG) met a small boy who studies in HKPS, but my friend found it very obvious that the little boy hadn't got very good training in Mathematics while my friend's girl can obviously won him vs some simple calculations.  Sorry, it might be just an individual case and in fact, the little boy might got very good knowledge in other areas like language, creative thinking,....

But, sorry to say, at this moment, I really could not decide whether my girl will enter traditional primary schools or activity-based primary school, so I must equip her with good academic training, and frankly speaking, no matter which types of primary schools she'll pursue, both my hubby and myself still think that certain level of "hard-practicing", like hand-writing or how to do calculation fast still need to be trained.  I was being a private tutor for over 10 years before and already seen a lot of cases with poor foundation, sorry to say, good foundation really help the kids to build the confidence as well as interest to learn in the long run.

You might think so why don't we choose Kentville or other "difficult syllabus" schools, as what I said before, I'm actually very greedy and I do think we need to strike a good balance of activity-based approach and traditional training.  Hope HKPS can address my needs.

Anyway, thank you so much for your sharings, a serious analyse and decision will be next steps after we apply both KM and HKPS, site visit and understand deeply from the school introduction, plus, we're actually aim at the N1 for 2007.

Ans: only PM classes are 英普班, yes, it's 雙班主任, that means, 1 PTH and 1 English native speaking teacher, yes, I also heard that it's 1:10

7/其實呢間學校難唔難考入去呢?
