1) When will Marymount start teaching English Lit?  P1?

2) Where is your daughter studying?  You seems to know a lot about the Primary school?

1) from P.1 , 用Blue Reader. 講真讀E.Lit作用話大又得話細又得，但如果學得好，懂運用，作文點都著數，將來如果做律師亦大派用場。睇下生活圈子啦。

2) 因為我係嗰d會同朋友交換卷比個女做的媽咪，我反而好少買練習。因為要留意"行情"同個女部署，而我女學校成績較好的女生多會入Marymount同St. Paul Convent，但St. Paul Convent係直資會比津校早知結果，是關放棄左無得回頭，所以近２年入St.Paul Convent多左。可見Top學校之間的競爭真係好大，唔止學生辛苦，但入直資的話又要比多幾年 。而我女又想入St. Stephen's Girl' 多d，所以唔留意多d點得 。

其實E.Lit咪又係reading,我唔知點解要叫做lit ,你點睇呢?

Eng lit會不會是指英國文學,只有頂級女子英文高中方有此科目.

你意思係咪想叩門入St. Mary要靠人事(重要係位高權重)嗎? 若將封叩門信由畢業於該中學的畢業生交比校長(由小學直升中七的), 咁會否機會高啲嗎?

叩門?! 跟本不應該用"叩"字，總之盡在不言中 。

至於Lit.方面，用字係分得細d ke。但至於能否巧妙用番出來，就因人而異la。

總之人名有志，有人辭官歸故里，有人......，各名校都面對直資、國際学校ke競爭。我識以前名校畢業的，好多都轉投國際学校懷抱，三個仔同時讀國際學校 都面不改容。真係 。

用咩字都好,學校有收生權,又無利益輸送,有人話用能力黎做西選,但有人又唔係咁睇,無話啱定唔啱.............無意見

I think Both schools are good.
It depends your perspective.

I got 20 marks and luckily be selected at the 1st round into Marymount.

However, I give up at the end..

aiya. I really don't know the primary school is a Chinese
school. Tks for letting me know.  But anyway, the English standard is still very good.

My daughter does not have any interview. She is lucky under the first round drawing (Nov).

We do not live in Wanchai as the first round admission is region independent. It only counts on how many marks you got.

My daughter goes to another school that have to pay the school fee.

I think Marymount Primary School is really a good school.
As I said, everyone would have different perspectives of their selection.

My consideration might not be applicable to the others.
However, there are some common factors such as:
- Travel time to/from school for kid
- % of Primary 6 student promote to Form 1
- External academic result of secondary school
- Peer group influence
- Financial support
- Policy of EDB
- Loading of homework
- Internal competition among students
- Character of the kid

The above factors are just random in sequence.

It seems there might be ongoing changing of policy of EDB in the future.
For Government Subsidiary School, it would be under the direction of EDB.
