My daughter is a 0801 baby. We haven't started go to any playgroup yet...Is there any good one near Shatin?

For the PN, here are the ones I am checking on...Any suggestions?

Creativity，Learning Habit, HKPS, Anfield, Yew Chung, Kingston, 迦南, Victoria, Keen Mind

Hi Snoopywy, which other ones are you referring to?  My girls are 19mos now but I only know of So Jit ready by Sept.  Do tell....do tell....thanks

Thanks yhmommy!  I plan to join Saturday class at Breamer Hill.  I also want her to attend twice a week but I live in Siu Sai Wan and I do not want her to take school bus ar!  So I can only bring her on Saturday!  O, we cannot be classmate la!!!

my boy is a 0810 baby and will join the tutor time activity group this sept. I have taught with some teachers in this school and found that they are quite enthusiastic in their teaching. One teacher even had her own son study in Tutor time. But I should admit that the tuition fee is quite expensive.

Hi All,

My baby is 0809 boy, I've applied Victoria HMT playgroup (weekdays) 6 months ago, and just last week I've called that there are still around 30kids waiting before my application. If you intend for weekend class, then even a longer time to wait.

Except for Victoria, I haven't apply any other like Tutor Time or Anfield, so I'm afraid it will be a bit late to do that as it seems that there are so many babies in the waiting list.

Yes, it is good.  I heard some parents have to wait for more than 6 months when they applied playgroup.

Will you send your daughter to study international kindergarten?

My kids attended Victoria PG, Woodland and Tutor Time.  My older one also interviewed for Victoria PN and K1 etc.  My opinion is I did not like the Victoria PG at all, and cancelled after just one month as the class had absolutely no structure and was very chaotic. Plus the school campus (North Point) was really small.

I liked both Woodland and Tutor Time.  Woodland is 100% english and TT is 1/2 english 1/2 putonghua.  To me, I did not really care which one, just picked the one that was closer to our home for each of my kids (we moved in between).

As for Victoria PN interview, they had several teachers in the room, allowed one parent to accompany each child into the classroom.  The teachers will observe the kids, as well as talk to the parents in both chinese and english.  Then one teacher brought in a big story book and asked the kids to circle around and listen.  They also played music to see how the kids reacted.  And yes, they also asked the kids to point out diff. colors and shapes.  

Actually, now that I think about it, the Victoria PN and K1 interviews were very similar!

One more thing to add - based on what I observed, it is best to send the kids to playgroup starting at 1.5 years old.  Too young, they had no idea what's going on and therefore no interest.  

I think letting the kids attend playgroup for a few months before nursery interviews will greatly help with their performance, since you do not want them to step into a classroom for the first time only when it is time for their interview!!

有冇人知道邊D N1 或 K1 要8個月大就報名? 成日d人同我講8個月要報定, 都唔知邊間要。我女女是0811, 唔知係唔係而家要報呢?

其實大部份N1 或 K1 都會在每年九月至十一月期間報名，你要想想報邊間然後打去問幾時報名及面試。你囡囡係細女，要找一d會收細女的學校報會好d，因有d學校唔鍾意細囝細囡
