我仔星期三剛上完第一堂,佢似乎好鍾意,上完出黎猛話自己冇跌,好似好叻咁,又話好鍾意溜冰,猛問下次幾時再黎,都好d,幾驚佢唔敢玩,浪費金錢！

See you here again.  My girl also learns ice-skating in Festival Walk for almost 9 mths.  How about your girl?  Am I correc that your girl is not yet 3 yrs old?

Normally they request for kids to be at least 3 yrs old.  But, my girl started with 2yr 10 mths.

The school's concern is whether they have small size skates for young kids.  If I am not wrong, smallest size is around 24 or 25.  May be you can ask them or visit the school with your kid and let them check.

At first I enrolled my daughter to group lesson with coach Pen Ko. But she refuse to go in and cried for the 2 lesson. Then Pen told me to change to a female coach (Joie) and suggest to go for private lesson. Maybe she isn't comfortable with male coach.
Now she has completed 5 lessons (private) and I will further enrolled her for another 5 private lessons before considering to change to either semi private or group.

If anyone is interested for semi private, pls pm me. I would prefer weekday after 6pm.

My girl also had similar experience when she started to learn ice-skaing during last summer school time.  My girl did not like male coach and thus cried crazily for the 1st 2 lessons and even requested to quit during the 2nd lesson.

After that, I talked to the male coach to get some suggestions what should I do.  Then, the male coach refer another female coach to my girl from the 3rd lessons onwards.

And my girl feels more comfortable with the female coach and loves to her very much.  By now, my girl had learnt ice-skating for more than 9 mths already, and refuse to quit, even at my request.

So don't worry, try to talk to your coach and ask for suggestions.

thx jenniferpl & abc-abc for sharing! 我個女好like 個coach, 我地落堂後同佢係溜冰場餐廳食野, 佢仲係咁同個coach 揮手.  我上一堂有同個coach 傾過, 佢話上埋呢兩堂睇下先, 又話囡囡有進步. 我都想過轉private class, 不過囡囡唔肯轉coach, 要再安排下先.

上堂同coach 傾過, 佢話我囡囡上團體班好d, 私人班仲依賴. 囡囡上堂仍有cry, 但就自己肯去上堂, 又有跟著指示做, 可以放手行到10步有多la.    落堂後個coach 叫佢可以留低玩下. 咁我陪佢係度睇左好耐, 之後個coach 又出黎同佢傾下計, 我覺得個coach 好好心機. 回家後, 問佢仲想唔想學落去, 佢好快咁答話 "想"    

想問下有無小朋友試過比溜冰鞋磨損? 我見佢對腳仔近腳眼位磨損左, 可以點做避免到

Wear two socks.

Besides wear thick socks, pls also tie the shoe laces tighter.   If there is room between the foot and the skate, the skate will hurt the foot, especially 腳眼.  if condition does not improve, you can buy a pack of foot jelly (can be found in the ice-skating rink)
