Thanks for your info, flostangraphy. My daughter isnn't a shy girl normally but she might not want to talk when she isn't in the mood. It seems dangerous then... ><
How can she stand out from so many appliciants? Really worried...
I am teaching her some Japanese now. Do you think it would help?

I believe if your kid is able to answer those basic questions like name, age, school name they are going to etc. correctly and with manner in front of a STRANGER, your kid is likely to be already better than half of the applicants.    So train them not to be shy in front of stranger is the first thing.

如果一心入陳守仁, 收左重會玩大抽獎?
如果陳守仁唔係首選, 咁不如留番個機會比其他陳守仁首選嘅小朋友.

陳守仁沒得玩大抽獎.

I guess manner is really important. Sometimes my girl will express herself directly and people might not be that happy.

I don't think so le....
For interview, strong English is must! That's all I think!
Teach the kids Japanese if she get in, then it would be help for her subject performance (at least, I can't help my son for a single word in Japanese right now )

Flostangraphy,

Japanese stream in TSL !?   I thought they only have either French (French + English) or Chinese (Chinese + English) streams.   Japanese is a third and elective language to choose from.

Silvia_ng,

I have been trying to take every opportunity to push (acutally encourage : ) them to speak out in the public.   When placing orders in a restaurant,  for example,
I alway ask them to order for themselves.  When it comes ice-cream, candy or their favorite food, it works effectively.    Make sure to set  your bottom line in the beginning that if they don't order themselves, they are not going to get what they want.

english is the core language(all subject except langauges) in tsl, then chinese stream will have chinese as 2nd language (Chinese 9hrs/week) and would able to choose french or japanese as 3rd language (2 hrs/week).
french stream has french as 2nd language (7hrs/week) and only able to choose chinese as 3rd language (4hrs/week).
