真的喜歡YW多過KTS？ 想深入探討下！

不知道英華是否也有課外活動後的校車安排呢? 我相信這點是很多父母想知道的事, 雖然這未必構成重大選校的原因.

英華沒有課外活動後校車安排的. 搭校車放學的小朋友, 如有課外活動, 就要家長安排接送.
反而聽過有些搭褓姆車的, 跟褓姆車協調到時間, 就搭褓姆車接到放學.
我知有部份家長因希望小朋友搭校車放學, 喜歡揀在星期六上的課外活動.

我睇過英華D舊topics，話林校長來了後有好多老師走，有一位家長更話佢個仔唔開心因而轉了學校，不知現在定下來了沒有？校長老師關係好嗎？此外有人說成續好的學生學校會俾好多機會表現，而冇乜突出的的學生就易被忽視，不知是否這樣？

I am a P1 YW parent and can share my experience and observation to you.
Whether to choose KTS (I don't familiar with this school) or YW, 1st thing is to understand the personality of your son.  My son is a very active one and I show him and talk to him about YW.  He likes it and I can tell almost all the boys at YW just like my son (it is so amazing to see all the kids are exactly the same style during registeration date.  They all are so happy and played together).
Regarding your below comment, I do hear from other parent.  YW only changed to DSS few years ago.  Current P4 - P6 were allocated via government allocation system.  I heard that the standard of the students are varies and some have certain gaps if they further go to YW Secondary school.   I do hear that the some old boys are very unhappy as they have difficulties to pick up.  
Trust your instinct and observation and choose one fit your kid.

好多謝大家俾咁多有用的意見，暫時明白多左點解咁多父母喜歡英華，但KTS的確係一間好學校，可能冇直升的中學加埋學校低調，所以少人知。

到現時都未俾人插話個仔英華未收就搞咁多野已經好好，到時個仔英華唔收就真係淤死！其實我都覺得機會唔係咁大。

放心吧！KTS是不錯的選擇，小兒曾讀了兩年，後有更好選擇轉了校。

想請問LS除左名氣嚮過YW外，點好過YW呢？其他野我唔知，但有朋友既仔分別係呢兩間讀，以一個局外人純粹睇課程程度，YW都唔弱喎，尤其中英兩科語文都有過之而無不及喎。

My son is studying in YW. Once I asked him if he would let his son to study YW in the future. He told me that he was a bit worry the school might not be as good as now because Principal Lam would probably not be there.

He really loves the school and also likes the principal.

我之前有想過去更top學校(e.g.dbs, spcc) 插班/ 升中. 但而家已放棄這想法. 所以唔需要特別谷成績, 真係好舒服(講我自己)!

To me it will.  Principal of the school is just like the CEO of a company, it will certainly affect my consideration (not the decision in this thread though).

兩間都係好學校, kts 每年派位都好好, 但若果yw中學係你心儀既中學, 你可以考慮早些入小學.

請問你可唔可以同大家分享下點解你e+唔打算去考插班呢？或者從你既答案中可以讓大家更了解YW既過人之處。

當然YW一點也不算差, 但唔打算去考插班/升中既原因都是頗個人, 不是發現了YW比其他super 名校有過人之處, 而只是:

- 囝囝對yw已有歸屬感, enjoy yw生活, 讀得開心, 輕鬆及成績ok

- 囝囝性格頗獨立, 不太受人影響, 唔覺得放佢在一群更勁既朋輩中會發揮得特別好

- 要考其他插班/升中, 所需心力非同小可, 囝囝一定要放棄部份喜歡之活動, 我自己對他的要求會很功利, 默書測驗考試既每一分成績也會看得很重, 影響親子關係及時間

我大囡前幾年升中, 四五年級已經好似打仗, 真係好大壓力!

單看留言，直覺閣下都是有要求既家長，雖然你話不是發現了YW比其他super 名校有過人之處，不過相信YW也一定稱得上是好既類別，才有說服力令你留低既。

my son is the first year DSS.  He is in P.3 now.

This school is really a surprise and on the move.  P.1 student starts composition (Eng) in the fall term.

Since P.1 Exam, there are 10 Pages exam to do.  Not Micky mouse stuff..

Parents who do not have time to do the preparation with your kids, should better reconsider if they want YW.. lot of effort are to be invested.

In P.3 first term, he was required to write a 100 words (Eng) in composition during exam ..after 9 pages of mis.. topics already..on discribing your "Best Friend".

For math and Chinese, YW has his reputation.  Parent don't have to worry.

Certainly, there are still slight differences with those super school such as DGS..the power of vocab are different.  It requires more individual effort.

I was a bit worry to your worrisome before.

However, homosexual is really inborn.  I arrange my son to attend church school and some studies groups, which are full of opposite sex.

Beside, YW college has very close link to other girl schools such as YW Girl School.  They have cross schools functions frequently and I saw some YW Girl's attained their basketball and volley ball training at YW College with YW boys during weekend.

YW Girls are adorable too..
