My son is doing around 50 times tounge accupuncture by dr.sun. For me the results is good. But I have no idea if dr.sun can help in such case. My son is also doing OT & PT(at PWH) but the improvement was very slow as you said. I can tell you more about this from my experience. Pls check pm.

barney, 你好! 恒恒日日都有去針, 但放完X'mas 一月時要返學就不可以日日去了, 走太多堂不好, 我地25,26都去, 恒恒的手腳及表情都多了, 現已針了廿五次! 但仲有少少鼻水!

My daughter also has Epilepsy (infantile spasms is it mean just shock the hand/leg and the eye don't move or turn around.  My girl is in this situation when epilepsy.) She is now 17 months old and also likes as a baby - the neck cannot support the head.  She has done 54 times of 舌針. After 舌針, the body has more & more power but the neck still none, the hand is relaxed but cannot hold the things. We found she has more & more Epilepsy afterward but we don't kown it caused by 舌針 or medicine matter.  Because she has improved and so still do the 舌針 daily.  Hope this can help you.

yes, it is so subtle, sometime is just eye blinking. What kind of medication is she taking? Vigabatrin?
Also, which hospital is she visiting? QM or PWH?

Is she eye vision problem as well?

Have you think about having the ketogenic diet? I've checked on the internet and found this diet can help some of the IS kids, metally and physically.

For Cody's story, her mom put some videos in the web which are worth looking. Her mom weaned off all the medications and start the diet and Cody can finally laugh and walk.

At least they can hold their head and walk. It's really worth trying if no medication can help.

For me, the vigabatrin is helping at the moment but baby is losing his character again and I would like to wean him off the medication and put him on the diet.

I'm also nice to take with you and thank you for your sharing and the information.

My husband and I will read the information for further consideration.  I will also discuss the diet with QM's doctor on the next appointment.   

It is glad to hearing many successful cases in US and it give us more confident to try the diet.  Your doctor is good and will cooperate with you.  Anyway, thank you for your information and it give us a new hope again.  Thanks.

I got some more information about the ketogenic diet at QM. My private PT said she has a patient who is 7 yrs old and just started the diet 3 weeks ago.

Am going to her clinic tomorrow and will give you more info when available.

請問有沒有自閉症的小朋友試過舌針?我的兒子已四歲半，但語言理解力只有兩歲幾，舌針有幫助嗎?他這樣的年齡可試舌針嗎?請分享親身經驗。

做左500++ since 2 months old....
Tim can speak 30-50 words now...
we didn't go to 舌針 for 3 weeks, cos chinese new year and need to back to hospital for regular check up.. we will come next week....bcos everything is getting better n better, i will reduce the frequency of 舌針.

仔仔自6.5月開始做舌針, 做左190次, 而家13個月識得自已由坐變企, 再行幾步, 右手活動亦多左好多, 會主動伸手攞野。

恭恭喜,各位都有進步!     
我mo仔由1歲開始都拮左80次啦,  而家識坐係地下起身, 加上自己行啦, 如果佢唔心急可以行到好遠, 又識嗌"爸爸/媽媽/姐姐.
不過我最擔心隻左手唔係點用, 但係就會舉手同拍手啦.
我睇開個西醫唔知佢做緊舌針, 仲話呢個世界有奇蹟添.  

我每個星期去5日, 剩番2日要去做物理治療.
