I ve been waiting for the result after the second interview last week, is there any news from the others?

2nd interview shall have over yesterday, we are also very eager to wait...perhaps tomorrow or next week, I guess we shall get the letter...

Thx very much, Candythemum it is only 1/6 chance to get the admission for candidates who neither have bros nor sis study there I guess. The principal said before the interview, despite of the one who got bros or sis, all of yr kids are very outstanding in the first in. I saw the list when we registrated in front of the counter, groups before has already one candidate with Marker out of 6.

Can anyone who get some news share with us please. I can't sleep well after my second in. My kid done very well in the first in but the success or not is depends on me n my wife this turn.

we went for the 2nd interview at the end of nov.  we got panel interview of 4 families

what do u mean by 1 out of 6?

I saw the list who was holding by the staff in the counter. There were 6 names a group in Excel format. Only one was marked by marker. I guess which is the success one among those group. Your group was only 4 candidates may be the other two gave up already. Any other comment?

It was very difficult to show off in the second in. It was only half an hour...... So I agree that we already been ranked. The one who got higher marks in first in will be the one who got offer if their parents did consistently good. Any comment or is it real someone already got offer except the sibling?

Two candidates had already indicated at BK forum that they received offers (they had no siblings and other relationship with the school).

waitwaitwait, take it easy. We all have been waiting for a long time...hopefully get a positive outcome.

Many of my friends have applied to this school and so far only heard one offer, so there is still hope ah!!

i almost call the school yesterday to ask when will have the result .when i took out the 2nd in sheet,the last line say ;the result will be announ by 29 Jan, no phone calls is enteraine.

so ,i give up to call. in their website,its said still hv interview on Dec. so just wait.

due i am in English group,is 4 family sat together.
my fans in Chinese group,is 6 family in together.

even though the principle may not need to pick one kids fm every group. i guess she pick who she like.

Excuse me for being rude. How many times do people have to ask 'which KG we need to apply if we want our child to have a higher chance of getting into xx school' kind of questions?

That is not, trust me, mostly not, about which KG you come from, but how good your child perform at the interview (of course this is related to his cognitive development by the time they are attending interviews) and how parents have nurtured their children in the past 5+ years!

Spend your time to keep accompany with your child, read to them, bring them to the park, play with them, talk to them, give them lots of love, gives them lots of security, makes sure they keep up with the academic side they learn from school. this is pretty much about it in order to get into your dream school!

I doubt it. I've done what you said. I quit my job before my son was born and have been staying w/him round the clock since he was born. My husband's been speaking Cantonese to him & I've been speaking Eng. He's a big boy & even couldn't get a 2nd interview from SPCC & DBS. But he's able to get a 2nd in. from TSL & SMC. I guess the main reason is that he's shy & unrelated & not from a famous kindergarten. What you said can change a person's outside, but not personality.

I didn't let him attend a famous kinder. because I want to save money for other purposes & can teach him myself (I'm a master's degree holder). From what I've experienced so far, a famous kindergarten does count to a certain extent because it promises a quality candidate.

BTW, FYI, my friend's daughter attends SSCPS. She thought the Eng. standard was great but complained a little bit about the Chi. standard.

The most important is try your best to preventing from regard after the result came out. So provide yours offspring a famous Kindergarten, balance the playing and courses of your kids. Concern not only which primary school will be studied, but also the growth of kids. Don't be the Monster Parents.

Letters are sent out and settled before the school holiday. SSCPS starts X'mas holiday on 17th December,2011.
