It's OK. At first I asked the question because I am considering whether to make my request to ICS to switch my daughter to am class, and to me, the information of the area (just area, not the address) as well as the date of interview is like the information of the school where my kids is studying....so to me, it's not that serious as "privacy". But sorry that if you have that feeling. And, it should be fine if the question stops here.

We can share more about ICS once our kids get into the school.

It is Mrs. Van Hoy not Mrs. Hoy by the way...it will prevent you from calling her the wrong name next time you see her.."Van Hoy" is her last name.

Let me try to answer your questions or concerns. It is okay to be in the PM class. Parents can request their kids to be placed in AM class, but places are not guaranteed. It all has to depend on why you want your kids to be in AM class unless you have a very good reason to put your kids in the AM class. It also depends on how many spaces they have in AM class. If the AM class is full, even if you request, they just can't do anything about it.
No worries...I think being in the PM class is good also...because many of the teacher's kids are in the PM class, so that they can go home with their moms after school. So...in my opinion, being in the PM class is not bad after all.

OH thanks! I also think am and pm classes have their own good points, so still thinking about it....

Are your kids taking naps after the school? When do they go to sleep and when do they wake up? Will it be too tired for R1 student not taking a nap?

Dear working_mum,
They usually sleep at 10:30-11:00. They wake up at 8:00-8:30am. They eat some light breakfast and then at around 11:00 they eat lunch. They don't get tired at school...they will eventually get used to it. When they come home, they take a nap from 4:30-5:30pm
I kinda like PM class now because they don't have to sleep so early, and I get to spend more time with them! Also, we can go out late without worrying about going to school early the next day!
Treasure the time you have with your child, when he/she goes to P1, he/she needs to go to school so early la...meaning you can't take them out late at nite or even take them out for dinner.
Plus, when they reach the second half of the school year, they will eventually stop taking nap after school...they just want to play without feeling tired!

Mrs. Van Hoy said that teachers for AM class is same as PM class. I can understand your concern. I do believe that ICS would like to give us very good arrangment with heart. Anyway, it is nice to meet you. No matter our kids are assigned at AM or PM class, R1 or R2, they are also schoolmates of ICS big family.

I hope we can meet later.

It is so good to have info from you. As your daughter is studying in middle school of ICS since G4. I hope you can share more with us.
I do believe that ICS is a good international school in Hong Kong. After completion of the new campus, it will attract more & more parents to consider this good school.
