My son still in slow progress

in our great reading scheme for preparing the upcoming school year.
How about you all? I reserved the name list of the upcoming P.1 boys' name. Because my boy is very bad in remembering classmates' names. I'm afraid he is not good in this when P.1.

I don't understand the meaning of reading 30+30 books.
1) I read 30+30 books to my son
2) My son read 30+30 books by himself (unlikely can be done).

that's only u guide yr son to read. He should read 30 chinese and 30 english books himself. in order to increase his vocabularary store. u read to him is good but he should read himself under ur supervision.

my son is Sept boy too. This X'mas holiday I give him exercise books to do everyday for his must. the 1st thing is to train him to read the instructions. Those are words too. that 's his everyday task before playing.

During Christmas holiday, Gold Coast Hotel at Tuen Mun offered "Thomas and Friends" package as there was a lot of Thomas and Friends decloration and toys. The hotel name should be "Gold Coast Hotel" and my son called it "Thomas the Train Hotel".

Finally you've move to Kln Tong la. I am still worry about to looking for other school bus cos la salle school bus can only pick my son up one and 15 minutes b4 the school time. It really takes very long time from Lai King to la salle.
Do any la salle mom have idea for this, pls inform, tks.

Where are you living?
I know a kid is living in Wah King
He takes around one hour from home to LS

My mom is living in Lai King and i'm living in MeiFoo
In the morning, my son will take school bus from MeiFoo to LS
In the afternoon, my son will take school bus from LS school to my mum's home

My son can read not too many chinese word, and of course he can't write too many chinese word lah.

Where are your boy studying? My boy is studying at Think Kindergarten (盈暉台).

FYI, on the registration day at LS, I talked to the school bus company representative about the bus route and time. He told me there's a bus stop at MeiFoo Nassau Street. The pick up time should be around 7am.

Did you check your route?

I am living at Lai King Terrace and my boy is studing at Yau Yat Chuen School. I've checked with the school bus and replied that there is a bus stop in Ching Lai Court (just behind our home) at 6:30. It really too early for my boy lah.

The school bus company represenative said the route and pickup/delivery time may change this year. There maybe less or more bus request in different points.

My friends asked why LS has to start school so early (7:45am). Many whole day schools start school at 8:30am or 9am. In fact, it's good to start early so the students can back home early. Then, the students can have more time at home. But the problem is we have to wake up early.

my son joined the sunday school from k1. But not to have any good attendance since I have to work on some Sundays and noone help me to take him to. Just as this coming palm sunday I 've to work that he can't attend the specail event for the kids with the palm. he's not so happy then. Kids are mad when they know they have 3 weeks holidays. My younger son is 2 1/2 years will go to KBCK in the coming September and will have good life for 2 years as no need to have dictation and writing.

One should know that forming a good reading habit is not just for P1. You should develop/train your kids when they are in kinder level or even younger.

Don't just wait and hope that luck will come to you.

新小一生去做校服及買書呢 - 校服 you can buy anytime in school & 買書 - can buy in school at mid of July (According to last year practice). Otherwise, you can buy at bookstore anytime.
詳盡既家長會 - it should be 24 Aug (Sat) - (According to last year practice).
For formal confirmation, school will send your the letter at the end of June. Good Luck.

Pay attention on Chinese study. There are two out of three main subjects which are required with good Chinese standard (Chinese & Math) in order to get good result in the exam. Good Luck.

其實我都好大機會係學校買, 的確有logo特別些, 不過平時見過呢隻書包我都覺得好似好重咁, 所以咪睇下有冇家長有好介紹.

係學校買SPI個隻牌子係咪平過出面架?

你會唔會係學校買校服呀? 有家長介紹出面買, 我未睇, 唔知有幾大分別同幾平. 都另有家長話係學校買. 我可能怕麻煩, 會係買書個日買埋校服了.

just talk to my colleague, 佢話佢個仔都係用SPI書包, ok, 唔重喎, 不過唔知同唔同我地個個款式 (佢唔係讀LS架)

D校車通常都唔會咁早通知架啦. 你係咪怕車程及時間唔夾, 到時未必搭校車而揾其他保母車呀?我應該都係揾學校介紹個間了.

我都會買2set夏天校服, 可能遲d好快都要再買新既. 白色真係好易dirty

一位LS家長話我聽夏令時間無午餐架, 可以遲d再問下學校既. 我個時一知道都覺得好煩,一來怕煩亞婆, 二來要差唔多2pm先食飯好似好遲咁.

你會邊日去學校買書及校服呀, 睇下見唔見到?

我會14/7去學校買書及校服, 到時相認啦！
記得買書包要20/6前交form。真係有D緊張，仔仔就快讀小一，你心情如何呢？呢排都有排忙，靜係幫佢買嘢都要去LS三、四次。

To be La Salle mum, you will be familiar with it as you will have many time to visit the school from now on.
The SPI school bag is not so heavy, students like it as it has the logo on it.
Summer the pupils leave school at 1 pm, they will feel hungry. You can give your son some snack during rest.
Pauli: Mrs Chu will be 1C's 班住任. All P 1 teachers are experienced teachers.

20分在自行報讀時才有幫助(住邊冇關), 但有20分的申請者太多了, 扣除世襲位, 又要扣25分的有宗教信仰的oldboy後, 所餘無幾...機會很微(約5%以下);住41網就在第二輪的統一派位有利(與分數無關), 機會大概10:1啦! 還要視乎申請人數多少及因小班教學而減少學位情況而定!出年情況理論上會較佳...因2003年出生率較低...沙士bb嘛!但之後數年, 情況會不樂觀!

好呀, 我都大約10am去先, 到時再相認啦

我個仔都係話要彩籃色
我昨日去SPI個showroom睇過, 彩籃色的確係比較sharp及精神d, 但就比較易dirty. 而深籃色都ok架, 當然比較無咁dirty啦
個staff話亞仔買細碼好了, 大碼係俾4-5年級喎
亞仔試背個書包, 我都覺得大碼好似好大.

我亞仔一直都係用SPI，原本舊年想轉用第隻牌子，點知見到個LS logo真係好靚，卒之又係用SPI......
有次同亞仔放學後行街，因為佢個書包好重，所以我幫佢揹書包，佢就揹我個背囊，點知搞到我膊頭抽筋咁制，然後我將佢所有書放入我個背囊，畀佢吉書包佢揹，當堂輕番晒，所以今年暑假我會買個另一個，而家睇啱Chiropak，應該會輕ｄ卦....

我昨天到LS文具部訂書包，叔叔話今年個書包輕好多，我比仔仔試過都幾輕,咁D媽咪可以放心買啦！運动服原來有两套，一套係背心，一套係短袖係分班分顏色，1C 係籃色，我覺得紅色最搶眼。校服我去金錀買，貪佢係日本料，質地都ok。提一提取書包日期改為14-15/7咁就唔駛走多轉。

我都會買彩藍色書包, 仲貪得意買埋個多用途袋, 雖然唔知有冇用, 亞仔唔用就我自己用啦, 哈哈!

運動服你買左各1套就夠啦? 唔駛買多套替換咩?

咁係咪即係我要先係學校買一個校章, 然後帶埋去金錀, 買校服時叫佢地車埋上去呀?

我諗住係學校及出面既公司共買3套, 因為亞仔應該好易整dirty件校服, 你知啦, 件校服全身都係白色...

我上星期五番學校俾左錢買書包了
運動衫就未買, 因為我唔肯定亞仔穿什麼碼, 遲d番暑假班時先帶埋佢去買啦
我地D班穿綠色, 我都覺得紅色最靚, 然後就係藍色

另外, 我都俾左錢搭校車了
亞叔話8月底個家長日個天d校車叔叔會係學校
到時再問實幾點同邊度上車

我未決定搭學校校車定保母車，因為未有保母車info。遲D返學校買書時就會有保母車叔叔問搭唔搭！校車要6:35上車，好早呀！
