我現在個BB18個月,出生時4次OAEfail, 四個月在政府做ABRtest聽性腦幹反應測驗(睡覺做), 終於pass ...但聽力專家
說大體上兩耳聽
到日常講話, 只是
高音聽得不好, 到
8個月做擰頭反應測驗, 結果也是
高音聽得不好, 但聽力專家
說情況不嚴重, 不用戴耳機, 學習沒有問題, 所以我
也不太擔心 ..... 直到最近BB歲半..再去政府做擰頭反應測驗, 結果清晰了.. comfirm是兩耳高音40-50分貝中度弱聽, 聽力專家
說日常講話OK, 只是
高音要
大聲一點先清楚,,,, 我開始擔心了.. 雖然BB日常講話OK(e.g.識
講身邊D人名), 我也去私
家看看!

上星期六去"唯聽"central, 先做擰頭反應測驗, 結果做得 不好, 因為BB坐不定, 要下次再做...一來個聽力專家太細, 好似沒什麼經驗, 二來測驗只是一
個人做.. BB很容易分心(政府$60也是
二人做!!!) 我之後電話講... 他們今日先叫一
個看來比較有經驗做, 但結果做得不好...BB坐不定.... 他們說
要做ABR(睡覺做) , 要自己去看Dr.  
取藥... (他們介紹-- $700好貴!!!),
但

要約第三
次...

結果我spend$780 for OAE test , + next time ABR ($980)  + Dr.fee ($700) .... 錢 ... 我也預了fewthousand...
但應該一
早解釋清楚... 我可能不用去三
次, 我對他們沒有信心, 只等下次

做ABR .....
有點想轉峰力做ABR .....
any advise?

沒有太大的ｒｅｃｏｍｍｅｎｄａｔｉｏｎ，不過ｐｈｏｎａｋ的ｍｒ．ｋａｍ很有經驗及心機．

I would recommend you go to Phonak. Book MR Kam. He is very experience in handling bb hearing test. My bb also has tests done by him. Usually, they will arrange one audiologist to attract the attention of the bb and then Mr Kam release the sound and observe. Value for money lor.

小於4歲的小朋友做聽覺測試, 其實最好都是兩個聽力學家做會好一點，否則很難控制場面呢!

可以去峰力做呀, 峰力都對於小朋友做"ling"頭反應的測試 (VRA) 都是兩個人做的... 除了Mr. Kam, 其他聽力學家，如Sandy Lai, Kammy Yeung都很有經驗, 不用太擔心...

其實為什麼要做多一次ABR呢? 既然之前都做過了...可以考慮先去峰力試一試, 做多一次VRA才決定吧... 因為ABR始終是客觀性的測試, 而且只會反映高音的反應, 而VRA是主觀測驗, 可以直接睇到BB的反應, 而且可以知道低中高音反應, 如果BB合作的話, VRA的結果會比較可靠一點。

hello, icanhear , can u give me some advise?

my bb is now 25 month, we have been one test (VAR)at 政府last month (when he is 2 year old) , the result is

"Bilateral mild to moderate grade high frequency hearing loss, likely sensorineural in nature"

VRA with insert earphones (minimum presertation level at 20 DBHL)

the audiogram show overall hearing level are around 20 DBHL - 30 DBHL, but when it is 4k-8k (frequency Hz) , the hearing level change to 40 DBHL - 50 DBHL for both ears

my son is very cooperate in this test, the audiologist also said the test result is consisten with  the previous test since new born , but she said it is nothing can do for my son, no need to wear any ear phone or attend training.

Dear icanhear, what advise u can give me? the audiologist said it is mild case for my son, he can be same as normal people, nothing impact on his learning and communication ......

is that true? what I need to do next ... thanks!!!
