真道好不好, 真是很難回答, 我是真道家長, 個仔今年讀三年級, 基本上很滿意, 當然也有不滿意 (只是小問題) 。
因為亞仔讀得很開心, 很喜歡返學, 佢自己比較自律, 所有功課, 黙書, 考試他都自己溫習, 好少要我幫, 所以我同佢都很開心。
讀書是一項長線投資, 短時間很難看到結果, 正如我以前都講過, 十一年後是甚麼世界, 你與我都會不知道, 父母想要的是甚麼? 是要仔女開開心心的童年? 還是一星期七天都只管讀書?

This is the comment I posted onto another topics in BK forum relating to Logos.

All in all, I read this forum and saw lots of comments ( most negative ) about the bus routing.. Frankly speaking, the root causes to all these are mess administration of school, poor capacity planning and never thinking ahead of the execution part.
The decision in extending the school hour by 45 minutes is so rush and without any consultation from parent or teaching staff..

Our case is, my daughter has to get on the school bus at 7am meaning has to wake up at 6:30am and coming home by 6:00pm..it takes 12 hours a day for schooling for a 7 years old kid???

Can you imagine us, a growth-up for regular office hour says 9 - 6 is better off than the school schedule. We talked to the school bus on the routing plan and the company also feel helpless.

The feedback from the school runner are the new school term has new FS1 classes ( I don't know how many ) , the usual time to get on the bus after school is prolonged from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Then the extended school hour, it takes the entire one additional hour ??

I complaint and I want parent forum like this to know some parents are really frustrated. A new school administration ( not new anymore ) can run as bad as this is an exception. My wife talked to the Admin. in charge of the school in questioning why extend this 45 minutes, the reply is creating a home feeling for the student,,,my goodness, a school to use number of hours to breed the student ??

I wrote this comment because I saw someone here gave a very positive points in extending the school hour is a "good drug" ( I think the meaning is something good to the kid to boost their academic result ) that is totally out of question. In this BK website, you can easily see and get to know the school hours is not as long as here of other DSS school, why Logos needs to make sure a big change ( at least I think is big ) in the curriculum design, the only reason I can figure out is 11 years school term is a wrong approach, then to add the sessions.

The thing is round the clock for the schooling is extremely tiring for a kid. Not from this forum, I heard parent plan to exit inlcuding me because of this decision.

Knowing that this forum has a good connection to the principal because of the parent choir, I really urge parent here to reflect the dissatisfaction..Tks,

I live in Shatin..village house..my daughter is the first one to get on the bus but last one drop off..

really bad....!! I apply the HKBU too, but I live in TKO....It may stop me from thinking of going to Shatin school.

小兒將於今星期五面試(06小一),想請問有沒有真道家長知道港島區校車(大坑)大約幾點上車和收費?因為早上有時會見到真道書院校車經過,但不知是小學還是中學.

另外小兒現讀小二不大喜歡英文,中文好好多,現在都好多時幫他備課,佢都好乖好肯溫,但記性唔好溫完好多唔記得.佢係一個活潑好動,好自律,自己會依時間做事.但有時做事會表現得不大自信.要人幫忙.唔知真道是否適合他?

I received a call from Logos, they arranged an interview on this Friday. My son have applied 06/07 P.1.. My son was already in P.2 now. My son was born in Nov. 1999, I want him study again in P.1 this school year. They told me there have few vacants now.

Hi, what is your personal opinion of Logos. What is the pros and cons of it in comparing to other school.

Logos is one of my favorite schools which I would enroll my kid.

各位家長可否再講講這兩年對真道有什麼不同?更加有信心嗎 ? 因我小女要交留位費,現在 15/16, 想知多些學校真實資料,增加信心 !!! 究竟今年有沒有會考班,成績怎樣??校長真的理想很大,但實際又點??

我同你一樣, 都係未諗掂, 因仲有幾間心儀的學校未interview或未有results...都好想等埋, 睇下情況點....
我有種想法, 覺得比校長in得既其實都係已經收硬既...唔知係咪?? 因為佢其實無問一些challenge我地既問題, 也沒有問孩子一些特別的問題, 反而重點講學校有幾好給我們聽...所以我覺得佢只係想係收小朋友之前看一看個family既appearance....你講得對, 是他說的多過我們。
不過, 一經register, 我地就會無左個政府既學位....如果, 我們真是覺得真道比那間我們填寫的政府學校好, 那放棄了也不是問題...最多先register了, 若真的有另一所更心儀的學校收小朋友, 才放棄真道的留位吧....在家長的角度, 當然是希望我們手上有選擇權吧!

剛剛在 Yahoo 知識到知道真道屬 band 1尾 band 2頭,不過唔知真定假???

以我所知, 眞道已經有學生考左會考, 不過就唔多覺有人講佢地考成點喎。

1個學生考倒 5A4B算唔錯 (以新校計 ), 不過個別學生成績好壞, 係代表唔倒學校整体表現既, do you agree ?

呢個當然.
另校長強調這批考生是外來收生而不是原校(從小一起)培育出來, 換句話說, 他對原校生更有信心。
不過, 我也相信因很多家長仍未有其他心儀學校的消息, 所以很可能仍會先付留位費。
希望有多些家長上來分享下啦!

my friend's daughter got 17, she told me that a lot of her classmates got over 20 marks.

I'm curious to know the hkcee result of our school too.
