你是家長嗎？見你地講得咁興奮，我又想搭訕

現時我對小學的發展非常滿意，但坦白講，我對中學還有些擔心，雖然理智上我知道以同一群的同學一齊升上去，佢地實力都不可睇少，但由於自已所知有限，又聽過別人批評書院，攪到我都有d擔心。唔知你有咩意見？

我覺得YW & St. Paul boys算同grade,亦有
一條龍書院我覺得St. Paul boys學術較佳,
但YW就音/體較出色

近年YW名聲越來越響,唔單止係轉直資呢個原因
其實學校用心栽培學生,亦配合音 ...

Hello....no time to visit BK since I gave birth to another baby girl in 07. Very busy...U have extremely god memory.

Dear Chunchunmom,

I have not meet with Ms Lam yet..but I think I will probably let her know a good education is important ad we are willing to do whatever it takes to accomodate my son..

I am a very nervous mum so I apply a lot of schools for my son (SPCC, HKUGA, GT,DBS,Raimondi,St. Louis and St. Stephen).....A bit crazy but this seems to the case for most of my kid's classmates. We are just following the norm. Lucky my son has not complain yet.

Dear FM,
I've heard from my boy's classmate that St Louis already released the result. But I did not apply for it.
Similar as you, I have applied SPCC, St Stephen's, DBSPD, YW, St Paul Boys', Raimondi and HKUGA...So next week two more interviews on the same day!
When will you have the interview with Ms Lam? Wish you good luck!

咁橋, 我 last year 都生左個仔, 依家 13個月大, 日日通屋行. 我都好耐冇 log into BK, 耐吾中齋睇就有. 你幾時見校長? 我地 next Friday. 希望 our sons 有機做同學仔啦!

Our interview with Ms Lam is 28th. My son got accept by St. Louis but it is a back up for us.

2ling,

My daughter is 20ths old. Not only that she walks around alot, she talks a lot...so very busy!

Will update u guys on interview questions if I am earlier than u too!

不同教學模式,我諗你地要研究下邊間適合自己囝囝,
到時幾間都得左先決擇就好頭痛呀

Yes, I applied quite a few schools. Coz some of them are on my top priority list and the others are for back up...Given the competition is really keen this year, hope that at least one school accept him lah....
According to my boy's kinder teacher, both traditional school and new-style school are suitable for him wor....but I'm not sure....

I already had the interview with Ms Lam last Thursday (16/10). It's just a friendly chit-chat, i.e. why you choose YW, even though I'm living in HK Island?
I think she'll ask all families that are living in HK Island the same question.

我比較坦白，有話直說。
擔心既主要都係學業方面啦。

我聽到一個YW old boy既fd講，叫我唔好揀，因為學生水平下降左好多。

其二，呢點就真係聽來的，唔知真假。有人批評，派位時代入yw既都係band 1生，但到出黎果時，會考成績唔好喎。

當然，我明白學生水平下降有可能是社會大氣候，因為我識另一個華仁old boy都坦言母校的師弟好差，又係叫我千期唔好揀。

我亦都明白，讀唔讀到書，主要都係靠自已既，唔可能全是學校責任。不過，情感上總是有些少不安，驚中學部攪得唔好的話，就會浪費左我由幼稚園+小學咁多年既努力囉。

你知啦，我地呢做亞媽既，擔心黎擔心去都係擔心個仔囉！

My view is same as chunchummom. I think beside keen competition, another factor is that I don't really know my son's standard vs other kids. Among all the schools applied, only GT and HKUGA are mofre Free style. If I have better choice, I will give them up....
Hee...you are right SPCC is my dream school...The kids are good and humble.

面試完之後,其實都有家長提過一下面試內容,不過係響小一選校果邊.我遇到既題目同#28csw既非常類似.

最令我唔識答既,係我只報左兩間學校,佢就問我,如果兩間都收,我會點揀.終於我係咁遊左一輪花園之後,就交左個波俾個囝,話到時由佢決定啦.
兩間來揀,的確佢唔係首選,但係我完全冇諗過到講大話,所以真係好難答.

唔好客氣,其實我唔係介意講既,因為有d野真係講左都冇用,個個小朋友既情況都會唔同.
我囝囝真係俾佢問左好多野,反而比問我地既多.可能係因為囝囝一開口就答錯野啦.校長叫佢講:校長,午安.
點知阿囝話當時覺得就咁講校長唔係好有禮貌,自己加個姓落去,但係又記錯左係姓李喎,咁校長可能咪睇下佢係咪真係咁冇記性囉.

然後又要check埋我地係咪真係有誠意囉.

阿囝in得好過我啦.

多謝你呀.

我諗當時如果我講大話,最大傷害既係囝囝,因為佢係好清楚我地全家都係最鍾意另一間,覺得最適合佢.但係我話左俾佢聽,英華亦都係一間非常之好既學校,而我地最鍾意既學校無論多唔多人考都好,都唔一定會收佢既,所以先說服佢去考咋.
每次去面試之前,等緊入去既時候,佢都好強調俾我聽,其實佢最想入既學校係另外一間,真係俾佢激c呀!

I have a different opinion about "saying let my child choose". What if Ms Lam really turn around and ask your son and he answer the other one. Then there will be complete dead air...
My son's dream school is DXX...so he can not wait to go for this Sat's interview.

絕對同意.不過我諗唔會有dead air既,因為如果佢要問到咁絕,我都會好老實咁答佢,的確另一間學校有d野係優勝既,例如個位置啦.屋企去另一間,30分鐘就到,但係呢間要一個鐘.
其實仲有個答案既,不過我又唔想攪到好似成日將呢d野掛響口邊啫,有少少好似響咁既時候認親認戚咁...就係我地最相信神會安排囉,就咁我地覺得係另一間啫,但係亦好有可能其實係英華既.

Hi FM,

Thanks for your information. I've heard that the answers are not that important as the principal focus on manner and politeness, etc.

My boy will have the interview on 28/10. I'm so worried that he may not have the chance for 2nd interview tim.

BTW, do you have old boys mark for St Paul Boys'? For me, no ar...I'm so nervous ar as I do not have any back up right now and the principal will only choose 90 out of 300.
Just by ratio, it seems that YW has higher chance, i.e. 150 out of 300 ma!
