我本來打定輸數，一心認為陪跑，心情一直平靜。但自從加入咗討論區個幾月，越睇越緊張，因為阿女No.14X，開始幻想有機會。攪到而家越黎越心急。好難再平常心，好警呀！

Why no 14XX = have chance??? Isn't that there's meaning on the number??? Please suggest, thanks!

我係No.14X，係唔係話緊我呀！
因為另一個討論題有人認為No.越早越有機會，佢地話學校應該會先screen過applicants資料再比Mrs. Dai interview。又話in得2-3分鐘D人表示無機。不過都係估估下！

I think DGS deliberately chose that date so that by the time the parents receive the rejection letters, it would already be school holidays & no one can go to the school to pester them!

我有個朋友個女去年考DGS﹐佢既面試日期係舊年11月中﹐個女讀既幼稚園係St. Catherine, 最後都入到DGS。

今年論到我個女啦﹗點知佢既interview又係 11月中(差不多最後個日, no.係 14XX)。家聽你地甘講都有D擔心﹗不過﹐我最心儀既學校始終係SPCC﹗

咁請問有無人有經驗係INTERVIEW時間都有影響呢? 有朋友話如果考下午3點以後, 校長會好累, 無心機IN,會IN好短時間, 同埋接小朋友入去&出黎時都無曬笑容, 慘啦, 我就係IN 3點幾架!

我in2點幾，用咗8-10min 一組。不過Oct初，校長仲未累，所以仍好好笑容。但如果到Oct尾-Nov中，真係in到發瘋都似！

I don't think so. The number is just a number, nothing special. Mine is 13XX, I don't think my daughter has bigger chance. School must have numerical system to make arrangement, that's it.

Thanks all for the reply. I asked because "mo mui" (sorry, don't know how to type Chinese character) mentioned about the numbers and chance.
Yes, it's very worrying and stressful for the whole P1 interview process, really get tired and frustrated because nothing is under control. I really have no idea how my daughter presented during the interview, the whole procedure took 15 minutes for 2 girls, however, I couldn't tell if it's equally divided between the 2 wor.....

Don't worry, that's fine. This is the purpose of this forum. We can share anything.

My girls was asked about 5-6 questions before looking at some pictures. I think it took about 7 mins. But they come out in 10 min. Therefore, I guess the time depends on how long the kids' answer.

Mrs Dai was very nice even we are the last lot. She still looks energictic. She smiled at us and thanks us for coming too. It's a bit out of our expectation. We even didn't know how to response but finally, we did thank her too.

Well, that's a good sign, rite? At least the principal talked to u, but she just smiled at us and said goodbye to us when we said so.....

You are welcome ! We all need more support in this critical period.

I will say the atmosphere was good. Maybe we all looked at each other for several seconds and that's why Mrs Dai thought she should say something only. I won't take this serious. Bigger hope will cause bigger disappointment.

My daughter just finished the interview on 7th Nov.
and the duration was about 15 mins.My daughter said that she was interviewed by the teacher first ,then chatting with the second teacher (principle) for a while.
the teacher ask:
-What is your name?
-Except your parents, Do you have any other family member at home?
-how old is your brother?
then it's time for reading on her own for a while,and she choose a funny english book which is about phonics.and describe the pictures to the teacher.
then the principle chat with her and say good bye,that's all!!
it really a short period of time,but i think that is enough for the children and the teacher sitting in a office, face to face each other (the stranger) for a quarter of an hour. All the children are very smart and confident to tolerate it,right??

I also did the interview last fri 7 Nov. but only for 10 mins. The Principal came out to welcome the gals... she is nice, with smile.. my daughter said the teacher asked her questions, principal sat there to listen.

- whats ur name
- how old r u
- who bring u come for the interview
- where do u live
- where r u studying
& the questions about a pic

10 mins for 2 gals....

Hi rabbit,
I think the principle's question are those similar to every child,right?
And my daughter said that the principle really read her school report,how about yours??
