our situation is same to yours -- both SMC and Raimondi offered a seat for my son.
Personally I like SMC more because she provides a very good language learning environment, not only English and Mandarin, but also some exposure to other languages (Japanese, French and Spanish) since P1. But on the other hand, we are skeptical about her over-emphasis on language but lagging other subjects, so on this perspective we tend to prefer traditional schools like RC.
Thank you very much for your response. For your reference, I just gave up SMC as I have the concern over the secondary school. I like SMC as well, however, I still prefer to the one with track record.
Agreed. That's the main reason of choosing RC between RC and SMC. SMC Primary is definitely a good school with "heart" but i still want to have a better back up full-train secondary school at the time of selecting primary for kids.
My kid is lucky enough to get an offer from SMC and is waiting for the 2nd interview result of St Paul's Boys Primary School. Even if he is admitted by St Paul's Boys, I will choose SMC for him.
I live in HK side. I am going to bring him school by myself (then go to office) and pick him up by my housemaid.
