G - nouns (I have many books), (He is the Mayor)
Verbs (Ms. Crow is hungry), (I am not hungry now), Are these your children, I was in New York last week, everyone laughted at the king, my friends came to my house, he was not at the museum, where is the rabbit, i am watching a baseball game, Mr. Benson let me use his camera
It will rain the evening, I will carry it for you, Some smaller bats live in coller climates, he si the youngest in my family.  

學 grammar ?? is was, are were.

ELF 依家出到 L, 係咪仲編緊呢...?

我仔4.5.. ERP 2A (學了6MONTHS),,, 雖然我唔知ELF的教材, 但我覺得5.5未必會明GRAMMAR之類.. 同埋襯佢細學多d字先, 睇多了自然識structure, 學校都會重點teach grammar??我唸你女兒都係吸收力強的人...

希望你唔好見怪我多事...!

原來上到G, 都依然係學D同Grammer有關既野呀....唉....咁知唔知邊個level開始, 至會有類似閱讀理解既野做下呀?

其實我都唔肯定究竟EFL既教材出到邊個LEVEL至叫做COMPLETE的, 好似出極都仲有咁...仲未完成!

我其實都明白學多D生字好過學多D GRAMMER的, 但而家阿女做緊D類似重組句子既野, 感覺上都唔係完全無用, 所以又真係有種棄之可惜既感覺...同埋上到小學之後, 遲早都真係要學呢D野, 而家有個簡單概念, 到時PICKUP起上唻, 都唔駛一舊雲咁唔知發生咩事嘛!

至於ERP, 生字真係好多, 但我望過...FOR我地呢D好日都唔講句英文既人唻計, 學左嗰堆好日都唔用既生字, 其實又真係作用唔太大....

不過學到而家呢D LEVEL, 開始覺得個女有頂住既感覺...全篇文章所有字都認讀到, 拆開晒D字亦都逐隻字解得到...但偏偏就係當所有字夾埋成一篇文章嗰陣, 就理解唔晒...點搞?! 大家小朋友有無試過咁既情況? 有無人可以教下我可以點幫佢理解整篇文章呢?! 公文CENTRE導師叫我多D同佢睇唔同既書...呢樣我地平時都做開架喇, 但我又係嗰句啦, 佢讀晒成本書畀我聽, 查實真係唔代表佢真係明晒, 好多時都要我逐D逐D再同佢分析 & 分拆, 佢至會明...好頭痕呀!

我雖然都係好日都唔講英文但我覺得學多D生未對佢第日睇D深D既英文書,SPEAKING,ORAL,同人溝通都有好處!起碼你想佢第時作文好D都要有唔同的生字黎形容先可以高分D!!
佢宜家學到A1,已經要做閱讀理解,GRAMMER,  TENSES,重做句子等,EFL係咪有J??
我記得個MISS話EFL係有閱讀理解不過係最尾個2個LEVEL
你有冇試過逐句逐句咁要佢解比你聽?

其實你講既, 我都明白...唻緊去完旅行返唻會TEST LEVEL F, 完左之後, 我會問下MISS之後既LEVEL究竟詳情係點, 如果都係同而家差唔多, 我諗我好大機會會嘗試轉ERP的...(當然, 要得到個女同MISS同意至得啊)

原來ERP個課程同中文個課程編排係有D類似, 中文既AI又係有你講既內容...但EFL係無的啊! 感覺真係無咁全面, 但就容易D上手囉!

EFL唔需要逐句解釋畀我聽架, 基本上佢自己每句都識讀識解的, 因為EFL, EVEN而家做到F, 但都係做D同GRAMMER有關既句子, 我個女好怪的, 就咁一句一句, 佢理解到架, 但成篇文章OR一段文章, 佢就....投晒降!

呢個數學LEVEL D, 我噚日望過D教材, 教法同我小時候有所不同, 我意思係...例如...32X14

小時候, 老師係教我先響個位補0, 然後就1X2, 再1X3...計完呢部份, 先再計4X2, 4X3, 最後至將兩部份乘出唻既數加埋佢嘛....

但而家公文教材係教....先計4X2 & 4X3, 再計1X2 & 1X3, 而且唔需要補0, 得出兩部份答案之後再相加, 就OK...

我問我老公, 佢話佢小時候, 老師係兩個方法都教晒, 但我小時候就無學過公文所用既方法...我想知...其實而家D小學, 係咪教晒兩個方法架? 抑或只係教其中一個方法? 又抑或係間間小學既老師教既方法都唔同呢?

我始終覺得"大量閱讀"對小朋友既語文能力係好有幫助, 但要顧及小朋友既程度(包恬語法及概念), 唔可以比太深既書佢地睇 , 多閱讀arm佢地程度既書, 佢地明白書中內容, 就會有滿足感及有興趣, 慢慢再加深程度;另外,我囝囝間學校教父母同小朋友睇書時, 先蓋住啲字, 叫小朋友先看圖並用英文講下幅圖講乜及見到乜, 再讀字, 睇完成本書再問問題 (等我今晚返屋企找找個張question list再pm比你), 你會從小朋友答案中知道小朋友理解到幾多 , 我自己係一直用上述方法。特別推介你與囡囡睇Oxford Reading Tree, 我最近發現ORT除左故事訓練小朋友既language外, 仲有science series, 希望幫到你啦!

no yau_cheung,She stay in P1....now she is more happy and learn many things from school. I know P2 is more difficult...so its a good place to stay.

等我都用吓你的方法先... 我個又係好like ORT - 我們去LIABRARY 好似運貨..... 佢日日都睇, 仲會大聲讀, 我以前見佢識讀以為佢明, KUMON 英後老師提我先DISCOVER佢有字真係唔明...

有時叫佢講返故事俾我知, 佢講到一團糟....  (其實平時佢都不是太形容發生的事給我, 好急, 佢剛4.5, 我唸正在學習.. 仲有什麼方法可加強呢方面 ?

可否都給我 question list, 如有..

係呀, 其實真係幾頭暈的, 一唻計既方法同我小時候老師教既唔同, 二唻唔可以補零!

噚日同老師傾補零既問題, 我同老師講, 唔補零好容易對錯位, 一對錯位, 就好容易會加錯數, 我想教個女補番個零, 得唔得?!

好彩老師話...如果擔心同小學教既方法唔涵接的話, 佢唔介意補零的, 亦唔介意計左十位先定個位先, 不過佢既準則係...一定唔可以寫進位唻提自己, 一定要心算...anyway, 同老師溝通過之後, 安心好多!

What is guided reading and how can parent participate?

Literacy development is an integral part of overall language development.  Children need to read aloud as often as possible to their teacher or another adult.  Teachers, parents and childcare providers can actively prepare young children for reading success.

The goal of guided reading is for students to read books independently.  The purpose of guided reading is to promote literacy and fluency across the English curriculum.  Guided reading is best used for young children.  Both fiction and non-fiction books are used as reading materials.

During the reading time is needed to teach reading strategies, such as predicting, identifying unknown words, checking for understanding, and how to reread to clarify ideas or word meanings.

You are there to help children learn by applying reading strategies - support children to read independently, ask questions, promote discussion and interact with the children to extend their thinking.
