圍棋 is really good for children. It trains both sides of the brain. My son has learnt for almost 4 years. I would recommend it to every parent.

Mighty,
Every kid can learn the basic rules and skills. But not every kid can advance to 段 level.

Anyone interested in knowing which school is good can PM me.
