Hi Everybody,

Good to see this post...i have spent an hour to finish reading it....haha..but learnt a lot from you guys discussion!

My B is 0810 and i am going to apply for the following:

1. Yew Chung (going to their introductory meeting on Oct 15...but school fee is soooooo expensive for WD 2yr class...$10350...)

2. Learning Habitat (Hampton Loft) but my son need to wait until he's 2yr old, i.e. Oct 2010 and i'll go to their open day next sat (10 oct)

3. Victoria Harbour Green - they accept small kids and school fee is "relatively" reasonable....

4. Keen Mind -- as discussed, application not started until early 2010.

5. HKPS --- just learnt from this post and found out it's located at Shatin...seems to be good location for me

I live in Sai Kung but work at Yuen Long. sigh...long travel time for me everyday already and i really want to put my son to a wholeday PN.

Any good suggestion / comment? let's share~

若我十月才報兩歲班,會太遲嗎?

通常學校會怎樣揀BB interview 呢?

先交表的機會會高D嗎?

How's your baby feel after joining a few lessons in TT? My baby will join the playgroup in the same campus next week as well.

Tutor Time

Hello, my boy is a 0810 boy.
After joining some lessons, I am still thinking whether to let my son continue at TT or to join other playgroups. Actually, it's because my son is still young so he's not able to do the activities there...and there's a bit much free play time...but I go for kids learning through play...still wondering...

TT playgroup 好似口碑不俗, 但如果係屋企無同bb講開英文其實係咪唔適合上TT playgroup呢?

Hello, 我巳報了６間pre nursery, and my target is keen mind or victoria or Learning habitat. But 耀中 just called for interview (means they have accepted my son if we are willing to pay 5500 留位費). Have any 2008 mom also registered Yew Chung?

How will you choose?

My son is Jan 08 so is a big boy. How is your baby's progress in learning? My baby 識講識認A-Z and 1-1), 但唔肯表達去廁所, 煩!

問題應該不大o既, 只要你上堂同佢一齊跟住玩吓, 都應該ok. 上playgroup時都係唱吓歌, 做d簡單o既o野, 唔會因為平時冇同佢講英文而跟唔到. 我平日都冇同我bb講普通話, 但係佢o係普通話時段都係一樣咁玩.

My baby boy studying in TT already 7 mth from 1yr, my comment is a good place for baby and my son very enjoy every lesson.

I applied 7 of another PN and will apply keemind, victoria, HKPS & st. paul.

我b都係0801, 都收到YC interview通知, 睇之前d comment話收成數高, 因為佢地唔會真係同baby面試, 只係同家長講下學校理念同教學模式, 基本上有位你又比錢讀就收. 佢話帶兩張cheques $660 + $4890, 後者出年5月先過數, 唔讀都係比左$660留位費, 可以作為後備. 2 years programme都唔好預有國際學校水準, local stream主要係兩位廣東話老師帶, 每日NET個半鐘, 不過佢d全日班就好似大獲好評.

我b會數1-10, 識動物生字, 部份英文字母, 表達ok, 因為係大b都想挑戰下高難度(即競爭大)既preschools, 不過聽過來人意見面試表現可能只係平日5成功力, 都係平常心算.

form was submitted in aug 08, how old is your baby? i guess they arrange interview according to the age groups; u can always call for inquiry.

qqbabe, 你個女好叻呀. good to know that YC only charged 660 留位費. will you enroll YC half day morning or full day? maybe we can be classmates later. what are your first choices of PN indeed? I am thinking of Keen Mind & Victoria- although I have not been to this school, just heard a lot of good comment.

非常個人意見: yc係後備, 迦南係後備; 其實兩間超級唔同, 不過因為08好多babies, 所以一早已入yc form, 亦聽聞有位比錢就讀得, 另迦南又係一早讀佢綠苗, 應該收機會高. 你可以搜查下yc comment, 有讚有彈, 不過佢既幼教整體都ok, 小學就好麻麻, 我覺得唔好抱住讀is心態, 因為佢其實非常local, 但學費就非常international:p 我31號in 9:30am, 佢仲問我第日想番mud野時間, 我諗佢am class未滿, 才剛開始收生.

qqbabe, my interview is also 31 Oct! at 10am, must be just after you. I am also put YC as back up! Which district are you living? I am at Tsuen Wan, very far indeed. What's your first choice?
