When my son writes, I always give him a checklist - when, who, where, what and how. With these questions in mind, he can write more easily.

Another way to guide him is to give him a number of questions, let him answer them in complete sentences. For example, (1) Where was Mary going? (2) What did she see on the way back to school? (3) What did she do next? ,etc.

After answering all those questions, ask your kid to make it into a passage.

呢三點真係好中, 好正
但可惜我兩個仔, 一個point都中唔到
閱讀同閱報都有, 都不少, 但寫出黎, 唔掂

觀察力強,細心而感性的人,寫抒情文,記敍文有優勢,平日愛細意閱讀,寫吓日記,睇吓報紙,最好同步進行,日子有功,寫文章自然水到渠成,

我試下總合大家的意見，就是把文章拆細成段落，把段落用簡單事件去形容，跟住每個段落再寫作更加『多點內容』。至於『多點內容』就可以用不同方法去鼓勵創作。

不過，離不開就是要吸收多點字詞，因為無論甚麼方法，最後都要自己創作，引導式或是抄襲式都好，都要多看書先會有好文章。

所以，首要令佢多看書。

呢 d 係日常生活，父母和小朋友經常討論的話題，及結果。

至於故事書本內容，就可以增加小朋友的幻想及創作詞彙，所以通常大人都會唔及小朋友的一論嘴的

。

My son starts reading chapter books recently. One of the reasons is peer pressure. As his mom, I read with him everyday, step by step. We are reading tree top series of Oxford Reading Trees. Before reading a book, I read the book and the teacher's note first, then I discuss with him about what will happen in the story. I let him read one chapter first and then I ask him to re-tell in his words. Once I think he can understand it, I will ask him to read a few pages, or we do role play and read aloud the dialogue in the books. Since he can understand the story, his interest in the words is more than that in the picture.

For Chinese books, however, he is still reading the picture books with about 50 words a page. I am still finding a way to increase his interest in the Chinese books.

我囡都有讀 Oxfrod Tree Top Stage 9，幾有趣。至於中文書，可以試睇下『老鼠記者』，不多不小有創意寫作的故事書。

Thanks for your suggestion. 老鼠記者 is too hard for my son (he is P.2 now). We are reading some picture books with pinyi, 20 minutes a day. One of the problems may be due to the use of Putonghua at school. We speaks Cantonese at home. It is difficult for him to use Putonghua to learn Chinese language.

閱讀需要有態度,

從 " 要寫篇好文章" 的角度出發,閱讀忌"囫圇吞棗" ,

我一直向子女強調要細意閱讀.尤其是作者的內心剖白,會鼓

勵他們與之交流,與之經歷,文字變成圖象,腦內盤旋,從有意

識的閱讀至最後無意識地與作者交心,進步就會顯著.

想子女文章好,先要誘導他如何去感受生活,感受自己的情緒,

感受就是文章的靈魂,有靈魂的文章,不需太多艱深的詞彙,太多的修飾,小學生夠用了.

所以,閱讀以外,寫日記亦是寫作的催化劑,把生活的感受融入句子,不久,你會看到子女感人的篇章.

yes, For English, Geronimo Stilton is very good. My son can read it since P1 2nd term.
Apart from that, a chapter book series called "A to Z series" and another called "Magic tree house"are also very interesting.
For Chinese, my son can't read a lot of chapter books, but because of peer pressure, he now reads easy version of Three Kingdoms of Romance... And I find a very nice comic booked call "White cat black cat". You can find that in 7-11. They have many series suitable for kids. My son learn a lot of Chinese words from there.

英文終究並不是我們的母語，利用學習中文的方法來學習英文並不太可行。

以小學生來說，最缺乏的該是英文詞彙，很多想說的都不懂表達，所以該看一些詞彙較簡單，程度較淺，文章篇幅也較短的英文書。不懂的字詞便抄下，寫下解釋，唸出來，並利用該字詞造句。一天大概兩至五個也就夠了。

要緊記，唸是一個重要的過程。因為不懂唸，很難要小朋友用那些詞彙的。而且，每天也該複習一下所有學過的詞彙，鞏固記憶。

太抬舉了,客氣,客氣.

我曾夢想自己是一位作家.....那是兒時的事了,回想起來,對
比今天的中學生,當年的文章確是比他們認真.

可惜,在重男輕女的觀念下,我在中三就輟學了.我只懂簡單的日常英語,稍深層次已不在我的範圍了.

下面的回覆是我女兒的小小建議,如有不對或補充,請指點,好讓我也知一二.
