Actually, my daughter is interview in Cantonese and Mandarin for EP class and finally accepted in EP am class...so I think interview in Eng for EP class is not a must..

hi, nozomu-kun, as my daughter is now studying K2 at SC, I can share with you some of my experience. I find that her English standard is good. It is probably because I did spare some time to revise the teaching materials provided by the school at home with her at K1, though the school is not very demanding on this aspect. But I am sure you can tell the difference between having doing it and without doing it eventually. I may say the kids were very happy in K1 with no much pressure both from studying and homework. But there is quite a big change in K2. They always have revisions and assessments in all subjects including English (reading/writing/story-telling/conversation), Phonics, Chinese (reading/writing), Mental and Maths and General Knowledge. I previously heard that their Chinese standard is not very high. I think that's why they have improved much in recent years. They have to write and read difficult words/terms starting from K2. They usually have two pieces of homework everyday and sometimes three. After all, I like this kinder though it is not an easy task for a working mum like me. That's only my personal opinion. For the P1 allocation, I don't have much information but I think it is quite difficult to compare/assess as they have so many graduates each year.

hi, kinyee125, my daughter is in E/C class that I chose for her and even for her brother this year. Personally, I am not sure the result of using PTH as the teaching media at their young age for my kids as this is not their mother tongue and in particular we are not speaking PTH at home. For PTH, she is attending private tuition. In fact, I am also interested to know the performance of those kids in E/C and E/P streams as it is not proven yet with a relatively short history of development. But I sometimes come across children who can speak fluent English and PTH that's the point I appreciate. One very important point, it depends very much on whether the NET teacher and PTH teacher are good or not.

Just my thought, as the siblings are not the first kid and will not have the "5" points when applying P1. If their brothers/sisters were not yet enter P1, then it is difficult to guarantee a good track records will be produced. So, it is more safe for them to select the first kid...

Don't be worried.
At the end, our son can study in one kg only and you found that it is quite good for stafford.
Did you have any other kgs which are waiting the result.
It is so worst about the secondary allocation for SJC english primary school, right?
To be fair, the parents said it is still quite good in kg stage.

This is exactly what my husband said "as long as their KG is good...we don't have to care much about their primary school at this stage". But still, if you think that the pri school organised by the same organisation is no good, you might not want to put ur son to their KG anymore, right?

Yes, I am still waiting for other results. How about you, you've paid SN, Stafford and YYC so far if I remember correctly, right? Which KG are you still waiting for apart from KV? Wish you luck!

Yes, I didn't want to put my son to their kg after I have been read the thread about their secondary allocation & they didn't responsible to the parents. When I was still thinking to pay registration fee or not, I suddenly found this forum.

Now, I have 2 offers (SN & Stafford), gave up YYC.
And waiting the result from Keenmind, ready to go for interview at HKPS on Dec. 4. These were last two chance apart from KV.

How about you?

I have to say that I really think you for passing me the thread about St Johannes.  This helps me a lot in deciding whether we should go for Stafford or SJC.

We are still waiting for KV, KM, Victoria (u didn't apply?  I thought you have...) and Mungseng(very minor chance from my opinion).  Upcoming will be 宣道 and 九龍禮賢會.  Not sure about these KG actually but just know some how that they're good as well.  Any idea?

Do you think that we're abit contradict to ourselves?  We want to put our son to Stafford because of it's strong Eng environment.  However, we also want to put them to KV which is strong in academic but relatively weak in Eng.  How will you choose finally?

By the way, do you think I shouldn't give up SN?  What do you like about SN?

睇完咁多有仔女讀緊但都唔收既例子，我估呢d 真係天意, 我個女interview 時唔係好主動, 不過表現得和我好合作，雖然囡囡唔係首名出生會少5分, 不過我畢業的那間少學可直升英文中學。
當然, 囡囡唔係所有問題都識答, 臨走又係咁問我要糖食(係唔係童真？)....
我估同見工一樣啦, 你永遠唔會知道點解人地唔請你, 不過最後總會有一份好工架,唔好失望.
By the way,好多謝個仔既班主任回我電話，知道我的情況仲好鼓勵我，令我覺得冇咁難受。

I will register on 13Dec (this Sun) morning. By the way, does it allow both parents (dad and mom) to take our daughter along? It didn't mention in the letter that how many persons are allowed to enter for registeration.
