I plan to apply these 2 schools for my daughter in coming year. But I am not familiar with them, I choose them because
(1) They use English (according to www.chsc.hk)
(2) They should be not as popular as DGJS.

In case both got an offer, which one should I choose? Pls give me some positive and negative comments of these 2 schools.

I think both school cannot compare to DGJS.

TSL more keen competition in the admission and St. Margaret is comparatively easier to be admitted.

You can visit 小學一覽 and click the corresponding schools for more detail from the parents there.

But need to apply for some easier ones to make sure she can get an offer at least.
For easier ones, I still wanna to choose good, reptable ones. So for these 2, which one is better in terms of academic, care of students by teachers, etc.? Thanks.

Also how they compare with KTS, 宣道,聖方濟各 ?

I mean how you will rank these 5 schools?

"Plan to apply" that means you kid is still in K2/K1, right? I think you just apply for all of them and see which give you the offer first before you ask which to accept if "English" is your primary focus.

TSL got even more applicant than DGJS in this year, more than 3000 applicants and DGJS got around 2000....TSL definitive is a very competitive school.

TSL has over 3000 applicants this year but the school offers 150 seats, however, St Margaret only accpets 80 children out of 1500/1600, so, both are competitive & hard to access.

One of the reason for more people applying TSL is because of the relatively low school fee when comparing with SMC.

Other than English standard, TSL is more academic approach than SMC, so, you should also think about this. "My opinion only".....

my opinion is to apply all, including DGJS, SPCC, SFA, GH, etc. I had once thought that the above schools are quite far away from my kid but finally, she got offer from all of them, except DGJS (the result is not known yet). Besides, there would be no harm to try. If you try, you can have a chance. If not, absolutely no chance at all. Also, if you can get offers from them, cards are on your hand and you can choose the best one that will fit your kid.
That's my own feelings and hope this can help

HK side, I think of initially but finally will not considered as I don't wanna my daughter to travel too much.

當講得出名的學校，每年都有上千人報考的時候，就唔會覺得容易考入。要搵保險，祇可以找那些連BK都少人提及那些學校喇！

Frankly, both SMC and TSL are not really easy. There are only limited space in both school and there are quite a lot of candidates. So, I would advise you to get your kid well-prepared. In terms of interview, I think both school is more complicated than DGJS and SPCC. For GH and SFA, especially SFA, they are quite academic based. Interview is almost on purely on written basis and the questions are not simple (I mean compared with a 5 year's old's kid). For the detail interview and the related content for this year, you may visit different thread and you can definitely find out some hints.
Hope your kid can have a good and ideal result next year (For your information, DGJS may have one more P1 class in the coming year from 3 to 4 for their new school)
