大家好!
看你們topic真係獲益良多, 以後請多多指教!

小兒現在5歲, 今晚上了他人生的第一堂小提琴課, 老師為他選擇了一個1/4琴, 小兒大約112cm高, 請問1/4琴是否適合他呢? 老師說他可以用到, 反而1/8可能只可用很短日子.

第一堂老師教了拿琴方法, 及拉弓方法, 要小兒回家好好練習及練習拉第一條最幼的弦.

我觀察了整堂, 覺得小兒拿琴及夾琴(已加了琴托)表現得有點兒困難, 常常忘了夾實, 琴好快就滑落, 請教大家琴托是否都分好多種, 那一種適合5歲之幼兒呢?

是否需要為小提琴換質素好一點的弦線呢? 是否有助初學者學習?

老師選了一本琴書, 書名是快樂的兒童篠崎小提琴教本(粉橙色).

Your teacher should have advised you and your child professionally and responsibly on those matters. Trust and respect the teacher if you mean to let him/her teach and guide your child.

其實我女兒講出來的時候, 我也不是太明白. 大意是拉每一首歌時, 當支弓第一下拉琴時的方向, 3位舊老師都教她將支弓由下拉起, 而新老師反而教是由上拉起. 我自己不懂音樂, 聽出來無什麼分別, 但女兒說是有分別, 佢亦決定跟新的老師的拉法. 我現在擔心新老師的教法有錯誤, 因無理由之前幾個老師都是同一樣.

唔好意思, 其實我都不太明白和不知怎去表達

Bowing can vary greatly... it's hard to tell based on only what you said. Let me know which piece of music your girl is learning to play; perhaps I could be some help.

琴譜上應該有弓法指示, 有個蓋的符號係落弓, V 係上弓.

因為我只是在普通屋苑商場的琴行學, 所以想再請教下各位家長, 我對小提琴一點兒也不認識, 怕自己唔識觀察.

Shouldn't be over-worried. I don't think a professional violinist / experienced and responsible teacher would make a mistake like this.

Hi wootaitai,

It's been quite a while since we last chatted....

Well, I'm still learning violin but my progress is relatively slow.  My teacher asked me to take grade 3 exam this year but I postponded it to the 1st quarter of 2011.

I met Joshua twice in HK (in 1990 & 2004 respectively) and we took pictures together.  I am very excited to meet him again soon.

His concert, partnering with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, will be held on June 16, 2010 at the HK Cultural Center.

對不起, 我連琴譜也不太懂點睇

因看了很多首歌都沒有V 字.

但聽你這樣講也放心了一點, 因可能是個別歌的問題先會有分別

因為呢位新老師話我女兒已學壞了手勢, 所以我怕原來她的一套才是錯的. 女兒雖然只跟了她學了2個月, 但我的耳朵又真的舒服很多, 希望只係我多心便好了. thank you!

A decent teacher could take care of all these; as a parent, you shouldn't be bothered but just feel free to consult your teacher again and again over the matters. Find a good teacher so that you can get the feeling of 'He/She is in charge; I am at ease'. Let your child learn directly from the teacher without constantly telling him that 'your teacher might not be doing the right thing... another teacher said that bla bla bla...try that yourself...bla bla bla...' That's all about trust, respect and communication.

想向各位請教：

小兒就考級試，平時和跟CD practise 時彈得很好，但夾琴時非常難聽，好似同伴奏各有各彈，伴奏是很有經驗的，究竟點解會咁？

I wasn't at there so it's really hard to tell. Do you mean your boy can really play through fluently again and again along with the piano part on the CD with problem? So, last time with the accompanist, was he told to play at the same speed as on the CD? Did you consult his violin teacher or ask his teacher to attend the play-together in order to advise better?

係既, 我會對老師多D信心, 我諗我會要求陪上堂, 咁對我陪佢練習會好好多. 以後還有很多要請教大家哩~

From my experience, Parsons provide better service in these matters.
