Thanks for your reply. I also hope things will be getting better while he grows up older, as he is still not six years old until December.

Dear P1 Parents

May I obtain your opinions of how your children finish English Journal and Chinese 童言. Although I have guided my son the direction of how to think and what to write, but at the end the ideas and spellings are all from me. Do you think these homework are too hard for early P1 students?

Can your children finish it by themselves?

本想PM你,但不成功,所以在這裡覆你.我囡囡P3,很明白你的心情,我也经過你街階段.p1時我也請教過老師，Ms. Nytia話唔好太執著去"執"小朋友的grammar & spelling.因為怕小朋友被嚇怕，不敢放膽去寫作。P1只係倍養他們寫作興趣，到適當時候，當你見老師開始改他的mistakes時,即我們就要remind 小朋友pay attention to grammar & spelling.而童言,我教她從時間,人物,地點,事情,感受着手,或free writing,即拿張白紙,想到乜就寫乜。如主題係講中秋，小朋友唔多唔少都會想到一些相関事情，如月餅,花燈,月亮,家人等。就從這幾個詞語着手，很輕易就可寸成幾句句子了，也可apply落英文作文，真係好有用的，你可試試。我女兒都是"細女"，的確係難搞D，要多花點心機和patience.

得啲得啲,唔使怕,我女p1寫MY VOICE時都好搞笑架,例如book会寫成bok, school就寫scool,happy寫成hupy。遲些上多了phonics堂和聽多講多,就會好D架。

我最擔心中文, 亞仔讀字認字都好泎, 成日唔記得. 每日一篇啲字, 佢REPEAT聽十次都唔記得呀! 英文就成日錯大細楷同標點符號; 數學又大意, 成日睇錯加減. 不過, 佢先岩岩小一, 我唔想俾咁大壓力佢, 所以只會下星期輕鬆啲溫下課本.

I think I need to go thru the GS with my son asap, I think there has so many vocabs which my son may not be able to understand the questions. BTW, I have no idea how to do the revision of Chinese too! Like your case, my son always forgot how to write the words and I feel the teacher is a bit tough on how to right it correctly and that's why he always need to do corrections. About English, we just have those worksheets, right? My son's hand writing is really not good, sometimes big letters, sometimes small letters and mis-spell some letters too! For Maths, he still has difficulty on doing "more than" & "less than" questions, which made me mad already! Oh, god! I'm so worry now! :(

昨天creative writing功課, 亞仔返嚟已經寫咗一半, 我問佢咩嚟, 佢話好深嘅功課, 要寫60字, 佢已經有idea個故事係點, 寫咗一半之後唔知點寫落去. 我就同佢一齊睇instruction, 佢好心急, 一味話唔知點寫, 我叫佢逐句解, 慢慢諗, 佢就放鬆慢慢寫, 終於嘔心瀝血完成. 過程中我會幫佢解下題目, 同埋教佢串字, 仲有要誘導佢方向, 例如佢話會飛, 咁我問佢點飛, 用咩飛, 咁佢自然會寫用一對翼, 拍下對翼飛. 如果單靠小朋友自己做, 我真係覺得太難, 尤其P.1, 我個仔程度無可能完成! 但從旁一齊教佢鼓勵佢, 佢自己會有信心做到. 唔駛擔心, 小朋友創意無限, 尤其呢個題目, 俾佢天馬行空, 點寫都得, 最重要係佢敢講敢寫.
