This is top confidential information of the school.  I doubt if the school has released or will release such info.

For statistics and future reference.  Well, as mother of a girl now 3 years old, it's better to plan ahead.  If it is a "must" for the competition for groups 3 and 4 to be very keen for the 45 seats, I may have to consider whether it's worth the try in the next year.

When seeing how nervous my friends whose kids are now K3 are, I am just afraid I will grow crazy.

The competition in keen in ALL the groups. I know many people from group 1 and 2 not getting 2nd interviews too. The Principal has stated that the school has a flexible policy on admitting in people from related and unrelated group, with the bottom line NOT more then 70% related and NOT LESS then 30% unrelated. So I think if you really like the school, you should try to apply, regardless of the numbers of applications. I believe it's going to tough for all the other top DSS schools like DGS and DBS too.

You may try to estimate the spread of each group using the interview dates, based on the assumption that (1) Groups 1 and 2 are interviewed first ; (2) Group 3 (Non-related Christians) are interviewed before Group 4.

Groups 1 and 2 candidates were interviewed from 25/9 to 27/9 (both dates inclusive) and group 3 were interviewed from 28/9 to 2/10; group 4 started to be interviewed on 5/10 at the latest and the last interview was held on 26/10.  There may be some exceptions to this pattern but numerous examples have proved that such a pattern is at least to a large extent correct.  The distribution may be complicated by the fact that the interviewers may not interview candidates throughout these interview periods, but at least you will have a rough idea.

Not necessarily the same religion, just Christians.  They may belong to different churches.

Group 1 will be interviewed first with some mix in of group 3. Then group 2 mix in some group 3. Then group 4.
That's the pattern for this year.

Woo, you are so 心水清.  Are you referring to the first or second interview?

For K3 kids whose siblings are currently studying at SPCC but were not granted chances for 2nd interview, I just can't imagine how disappointed and shocked their parents would be.  The parents may have probably just applied SPCC.  I just have the impression that some "preference" or "allowance" should be given to them.

Like Ying Wah, I heard from some friends that about all little brothers/old boys' sons were "straight-in" for 2nd interview and the number is around 60 this year.

I am referring to the first interview.
Yes but SPCC, DGS and DBS have many siblings and alumni, throughout the years. And these schools also have secondary section and siblings from those are also counted as related. Every year the number of those related people applying have already exceeded the total number of seats available.
