代友問：男仔兩次呈分試成績平均第九名，聽說他的學校前20名都屬band 1頭，普通話和英文均達母語水準，課外活動獎項主要有：校際普通話、英文朗誦多次冠亞軍，華夏杯奧數比賽一等獎，小提琴通過5級。PET 通用一級distinction, 澳洲國際聯校學科評估試英文科top 3%,數學科top 2%，性格和思維都屬於活躍型，請教各位家長：
1、        這樣的成績有機會入到皇仁嗎？
2、        皇仁、聖約瑟和張祝珊， 報哪兩家比較合適？

Based on the info. provided, he would be accepted by all 3 schools. Now yr friend must consider:
1) the preference & the school district he is in. The ranking & the approach can affect the result. (If the performance in the interview is not good, the schools will not offer the placement in the 1st round. Then the district he is in will have a big impact.)

2) the culture of the schools must be considered as well. They are quite different in general. e.g. 張祝珊 no interview - They focus on the result. The students in this school need to work very hard.

Since Queen's & St. Joseph are both in Wanchai, I guess the boy may be in a primary school in this area. If so, try these 2. Even the boy could not get the offer in the 1st round, he can have a higher chance to get in it in the 2nd round (i.e. lucky draw).

這個男孩子的小學是在東區。另外，一般來講，小學階段女生成績較好，張祝珊是男女校，同女生競爭是不是欠缺優勢？
另外，這三家學校都有叩門位嗎？如自行沒有報考，能有機會叩門嗎？

QC and CCSC would be more suitable. As CCSC has no interview and your boy's achievements are very good, he may be ranked very high in pure calculation by CCSC.

BTW, QC will have 4 S1 classes and CCSC will have 5 S1 classes in 2011/12 school year.

Which school is he studying now?

Thanks for your reply. CCSPY! 因他英文口語較好，又不害羞，老師認為他面試有優勢，所以，不知道選一家有面試的學校，還是沒面試的學校呢？ 另外，聽說聖約瑟有直屬小學，外校生很難入的，是真的嗎？


我PM他的小學名稱給你，但總是被退回。稍後再試一下，真也不知道這小學在全港屬於band 幾呢？

大家好!
我的兒子都是讀東區,學校名次是二、三名, 但第二次呈分試的英文科得87分, 呈分排名跌落第六, 而奧數只得二等獎, 考皇仁有否機會入呢?   聽聞每間小學只會收一個, 是真的嗎? 希望大家可以教下我。

在第二次呈分試中有一位男生排第三, 他都是考皇仁的, 不過他在校內沒有名次, 只是呈分試考得好跑了上來‧ 請您比啲意見我

CCSC: if you don't choose this school in the 1st choice, you will not be able to have any knock door chance later. IF you check CCSC's website, it has recorded the no. of students taken from different school in the 1st round.  So you should be able to guess if your son has a chance?   With your son's result, if he is not chosen in the 1st round, he should be accepted in the 2nd round if you put CCSC as 1st choice in 2nd round.

Chinese Lady should be the 2nd choice with your son's result.  

In the 2nd round, you can only put CCSC or Chinese Lady as the 1st priority because there will not be any chance if you put either as 2nd priortiy.  But if you put St. Marks as 2nd priority in the 2nd round, there is still a chance.
