I am a bit confused from your postings. Is your friend's girl or your girl studying in SPCS now? I think if a child is too relaxed won't be caused by the school alone, her attentiveness, dedication and diligence level also matters. The truth is smart & bright students can be found in any schools, not limited to SPCS, MPS or DGJS. It's in vain to compare students from different schools.

你睇返之前我嘅留言就知我個女你將升小一, 現在亦等緊大抽獎; 而讀緊spcs小學嘅係我朋友個女嚟. 因為聽得多又睇得多, 所以對於sp集團的作風、修女們和老師們的態度都略知一二.......

你講得啱, 唔應該將小朋友互相比較, 要比較嘅係自己同自己比. 我就係這樣教我個仔, 今天做得比昨天好; 今次考試成績比上次的成績好我已經好開心喇....!!

That means your girl studies in SPK or SPN now as you are afraid she will be too relaxed "散晒" if goes to SPCS, right? Had your girl been admitted to SPCS P1 but will give up the seat and wait for lucky draw result? As I thought you mentioned you are SP parent too, please correct me if I'm wrong.

是不是幾年前嘅事.......

SPK 現在一兩年好吾同啦
学校加大了力度
家長小朋友都有壓力
真係吾鬆傢
至少我個不是
佢個班的同學好多都準備緊小一啦
我是K2家長

spk 有壓力 ? 我囡囡今年 k3 ，只有家長覺得學校（幼稚園）教得淺，擔心上小一時跟得辛苦，而家大部份人放學後都補習。

好小聽到SPK/SPN 的學生有壓力，有都係怕上到P1 接唔住小一課程而令到啲家長K3開始發功姐！

學校做了功夫
我地上學期日日返屋企温書
好多校內的情況不便在這地方講
我個小朋友每日放學都會講返上課嘅事情
又我地full time mum 帶返放學都會知道一些
聞P1好多成績未達標
一級比一級壓力自然要做嘢
加上我地班主任比較緊......
鬆吾鬆真係又好睇父母........

Heavy homework load is very common in HK traditional schools. I also have kids studying in primary schools. I think parents' expectation influences kids' daily life a lot. Personally I help them build a good foundation in the first 3 years. No need to focus too much on 'marks'. Important things are that they really understand what they learn. P.1 is the most important one. After that, P2 - P3 is just stages of further consolidation. Most importantly, don't forget to give them time to play!!!

I hand delivered the letter and simple portfolio to St Paul Convent School few weeks ago. Then, I got the acknowledge letter from the school and ask me to send the letter & portfolio again in coming June.
