不知道DGJS是不是都會有waiting list? 不知有沒有家長會知道?? 希望除了reject letter還會有waiting list!!

I heard that there is waiting list in the past, but I guess it won't be long. Not many people will give up DGJS offer, I guess.

Yes MCS is a good school, I prefer DGJS mainly due to its one dragon system.

Still 28 days to go, assuming it is Dec 21.
I was just thinking, after this whole thing is over, I will probably have EK overdose and would probably not visit the site for some time.

But for now, it is nice to have all of you here, and thanks for putting up with all the garbage that I have been writing on this forum.

Oh, we did not join the 1st round because we only have 15 points. Luckily we have got some private school backup already. Hope we can have more luck for DGJS.

Hi YLMom,
我們很相似呢 ... 15分首輪冇望 ..
got some DSS and Private,
But I will only keep SFA, drop all other inclduing TSL for the moment (same right???),
wait DGJS / KTS / APS.
Hope luck will arrive !
Almost a month to wait ....

ICBB, sorry for overlook you have a younger sister, I have a younger daughter who is in K1 too. For my case if I were you, I will choose St. Mary. The competition is vigorous outside. Not sure if $$ or religious is your concern. As a parent, you may think you sacrifice the best for your elder daughter to plan for the second daughter. Really tough to decide!

As I trust my girl is 讀書型, I tend to pick SFA although last year, many friends chose KTS instead, cos of the hamory environment and the teacher-parent connection.

I truly trust no pain no gain and SFA's Chinese and English is very competitive. If she can master it, I don’t need to worry like now (I think her so called “famous KG” syllabus is not competitive so I need to add many others by my own effort n money)

My friend who chose KTS said the syllabus indeed very pushy as well. Quiz not straight forward so student need to pay extra effort on preparing the quiz. So ... looks like, both pushy for KTA and SFA .. kids will not notify the difference of "pushy level" if they are in one of that environment.

For SFA, yes, the homework and quiz is heavy and intensive but if Kids are that type, they can overcome. As SFA is my top favor, I chatted with almost 10 student helpers during the two interviews. They all said homework is a lot, but not 辛苦, 測驗唔會特別温因為平時做功課cover左. They all said they are happy and love to go to school. Most important, I asked whether they are upset for not being offered the gifted edu (全級頭40名, or全班頭10名) ... they all gave me positive reply.

and .. I love their Japan or French curriculum by P3. Someone may said, 讀多樣
= 補多人樣
… it’s true. But it’s a 推動. If no such curriculum, kids may not take such extra course from outside when school issue is so busy.

Also, I like few secondary schools from Shum Shui Po Net.

But, if adding APS .. Really hard to choose … I treasure the Musical development, RWI (Oxford synthetic phonic) for P.1 + Phonic for P2-3, IPA for P4-6, and aggressive syllabus from APS. No foreign language curriculum but Kowloon Tong Net.

Getting DGJS is a big gift, not only due to DGJS is such a good school for English and other all round aspects, but it could resolve my dilemma toward SFA n APS.

Apart from DGJS, my rating is

APS = SFA > KTS

Any other thought?
I guess here many parents will face some problems ….. let’s discuss, for the best pick to our girl !
