Why you didn't apply York? My son is a small child. Luckily he got admitted by York Int. pm.
To be frank, I prefer SC but I missed the application date. My elder kid is studying at York K3 now and she has done quite well in the recent P1 application and got admitted by SFA and TSL, waiting for APS and CKY. On the whole, York is a good school especially their training in English.
I have to help this school to clarify, they never force anyone to join their ECA or function. I only joined Starters course, nothing else and I don't see any adverse treatment by teachers. When you leave message for teachers, they will call you back asap.
Maybe you can try this school and check if they still accept application. After all, I think the most important thing is our education and caring given to the child. School helps in some way but not the most important factor.
I guess York is better than most local non-famous KG. Hope this helps.
