我幫你問咗讀四年級嘅兒甥,佢好好笑,話打EdXXX嘅Miss俾警察拉咗,過佢媽咪話應該係炒咗,因為一直Miss都冇返工,到宜家聖經科都係冇老師上課...佢媽咪想同你私下联絡頃頃,可否PM？

我係舊家長，忍唔住搭咀。
估唔到換左校長都係咁，改卷呢D情況以前我小朋友都有講過，我以為小朋友誤會學校，加上唔關我小朋友事，所以無理。
亦都好難想像堂堂一個校長既操守差到咁。
直到小六放榜，好多小朋友派到既學校，
跟本就無簡過，仲要係非常差既學校，
當時先知比人“握”左咁多年，

因為我小朋友張成績表年年全A，
真係無諗過可以派得咁差，
最慘係去考其他學校都唔收，
因為跟本程度唔夠

hmm, let me add my comments too as I 对以上评论有保留．

My sons are currently studying at this school, one is at P4, another at P6. The school has a procedure, which is that after every exam (mid term, final), parents can choose to check 3 exam paper if they prefer to do so, I have done checkings for two years, and I didn't notice nor heard of the above stories though, also Teachers run through/review all the answers with the class together after exams, and my sons didn't meet situations whereby teachers purposely changed favourate students' answers to achieve higher scores etc.

Honestly, I feel a bit angry - I am relatively new to this website and am surprised to see these many strange comments above, I couldn't help wondering if these bad comments are really from "real" parents!!! - as I believe that no parents want to bad mouth its kid's school in such a manner!! If their kids' school is of such a bad goodwill, it won't be a beneficial thing to their kids at tall, isn't it, therefore no offence but I really doubt why there have been continuous bad comments published to impair the image of this school, and the point is, whether these criticisms are real? I swear that I am a real parent (I can sell you 2nd hand books if you are interested) but I never heard of the above continuous terrible things published above!

I can see that these rumors really gradually achieve their purpose i.e. to hurt the school - many parents start to refrain from applying for this school P1 even its Kindergaden is ok. No basis just a guess: maybe there are many people who hate this school (e.g. those left this school due to the 政治风波）but please don't do your revenge here, it is very unfair to the kids who are still studying at this school, they are innocent, and I want to voice out to defend!!

Still feel angry, stop bad mouthing my sons' school! Let me share some real examples/facts:

--The kids at the school are lovely and smart, and teachers are not evils as mentioned in the comments above: there was a school trip held in mid November ( to visit a berry farm in HK, also there was an outdoors pizza making fun event), parents including myself were invited to go along with kids, we had a good time, and when we were in the coach/bus, to past the time, the local guide 导游 raised many questions (智力，地理等）to the school kids, and the kids are very alive to 抢答, the guide once talked to me that, the students impressed him as they can answer the questions so quickly and accurately (I was in the P4 bus), and the guide served many schools before... Also, when the guide asked who want to sing a song, many kids raised their hands, they are so adorable and I learned from them.

--升中：my older son is P6, facing 升中this year, I knew that one student who was of similar banding ranking of (or a bit higher than) my son was adimitted into 何明華會督銀禧中學 (Band 1B or C), as for the foreign students of this school (mostly Indian kids), many of them got into 香港管理專業協會李國寶中學 (I believe it is Band 1 C or Band 2A); I hope I can share more but don't have much source of info, any parents of last year who can share with me? thanks!

--some downsides of the school: The damage of goodwill by rumors has affected the ability of the school of admitting top students and hiring more teachers. I don't know the complexity behind the 政治风波earlier last year, but I can feel that the new school principal is engaged in running the school with her love for kids/education. However due to the rumors, the school still needs time to win back the confidence from parents.

These comments (good sides and problematic aspects) are about fair, hope this helps to give you a better view of the school.

Very appreciated that jojo99 will stood up for the SJC students and gave such a valuable informations and comments about this school. My girl will start her P1 in coming 2012 Sept term. I love this school 'cos it keeps a low profile style but with high academic. My girl is currently studying in SJC Kindergarten for K3. I am not that aggressive to apply all those elite schools for my girl 'cos I prepare to send her striaght away to their primary session. The new principal is really engaged to run the school better then before. I can tell how she works so hard from the Kindergarten section. Now after read the comments from Jojo99 then I have more confident to let my girl go on to their primary session soon.

Thanks Chewy for echoing to my comments! I am happy to see that we finally have some real parents talking/chatting here!

By the way, I am not trying to avoid talking about the issues of this school, the school lost some experienced teachers after the 校长风波, my observation is that the teaching falcuty for P4 seems not as strong as those for the P6, also some teachers need to teach multiple courses (may be due to insufficient teachers?). Although it is small class teaching (both of my sons' classes are less than 20 students), it is still not an ideal situation for a teacher to teach multiple/different courses...so just to share a bit more info to you.

Nice sharing JoJo... I totally understand their situation currently. Hope the school really consider to hire more professional teacher to teach specific subjects. Plus, their campus really need to renovation after so many years. I did call the school and ask they have plan to renovate and they said they don't hv plan. Does any parents raise is to school during the parent meeting?

I noticed that the school has some renovation work going on recently, probably because there will be a Oxford Summer Camp held in this school later in July.

relatively heavy, daily: work books, work sheets, but my sons complete in two hours

also weekly dictation (for Chinese and English)

quiz per chapter
