我女今年8月讀 victoria 海怡, 但明天我有事未能出席! 打電話去學校問, 郭主任話其實校服/ 校車都可以待 6月4日才訂的! 如果明天未能出席, 則在今日之前交回表格/ 健康記錄/ 3張小朋友相片.

然後明天老師代我先註冊, 再寄回有關 6月4日註冊日有關資料給我!

所以我諗明天係唔需要交任何錢住law..

我就覺得當然係 6月先度身造校服好, 因為8月先開學! 而家度左, 隔成半年, 點知囡囡高幾多喎??? 我記得我女3個月前仲係80cm, 昨天度高突然早左4cm...

Hi Venng,

My son also accepted by Victoria and HK Preschool pre-nursery and I am still considering which one is better?

I heard that Victoria course content is much easier than HK PS. What's your comments?

我個女都係今年8月讀海怡pre-nursery呀,你女女讀上午定下午? 如果你女女讀上午,就會同我個女做同學仔喇!

我聽日會出席呀,不過我都同意唔駛咁快做校服住,但我問過d老師話如果六月先做校服,唔知趕唔趕得切8月開前交到貨,所以依定仲係十五十六.

今日去咗同亞女註冊,感覺幾好.我老公係維記畢業生(30年前),今日佢仲撞到舊時教佢個老師(依家係主任),已經係old lady,但我老公仲認得佢,原來佢以前同我奶奶好熟o添!(唔知係咪我老公細個時百厭,成日見家長呢?!

原本仲以為今日唔駛交任何費用(通告寫明所有費用係6月4日先交,點知突然又話要交校服錢),我同亞女訂咗一條校裙同一套運動裝.

My son was also accepted by HK Preschool but I like Victoria more. I shall let my son study in Victoria in August.

I also went to the registration today. I reserved the uniform, but we don't need to pay any money....I registered in HoManTin.

I think different branches have different arrangements. We register in the South Horizons branch & the teacher asked me to pay the uniform fees either by cheque or by cash. I didn't bring my cheque book and I had not had enough money in my wallet. Then I had to go out to take money from the ATM & then back to the school. Though the ATM is not very far away but it's quite inconvenient becaues I need to took my daughter.

果日返維記playgroup, 問番老師, 佢話belcher's 呢間由於太多人申請既關係, 已經取消左5日班, 只係得番3/2日班, that's why 咁多人都係收左2/3日.

160個人申請只收左75位.

另外佢suggest 6月先度校服, 以免到時唔arm身 !

did you go to the registration day of Victoria? I have checked the books they showed there, i found that the content is quite simple. i am not sure if the syllabus in HKPS is the same, as i didn't have chance to take a look on the books in HKPS.

how about Keenmind? did you consider this school?

Can you share why you like Victoria more, as i have no idea on both schools. for Victoria, my friend told me that the English level is pretty good. For HKPS, i heard many good comments from bk. i don't know how to choose at all.

Hi Venng

From my point of view, PN class is just for  2 years or more children.  No need to give them any "difficult syllabus"  Giving them a happy environment to play, to eat, to learn dicipline, to make friends, etc....  is enough.

Education road is a long long way to go.  If you  want your son to receive "more advanced syllabus".  You can consider it later on, may be in K1.

I choose Victoria, (though not yet have final decision) is mainly because it has native English speaker. It also provides a happy learning environment. Some negative points are : it is quite expensive, not near to my home, no outdoor playground.

I do consider Creative Kinder which is near my home and is much cheaper.  However, as I want my son to expose to the Enghlish enviornment earlier.  May choose Victoria at last.

Regarding the books, do U mean the books for home reading?  As the teacher said,  she will teach some concepts (like brushing teeth) or some songs or some games in class, parents can teach their children at home.  This makes you have a closer relationship with your children. They are not textbooks.  So the contents are simple.  (but i don't know whether PN has any textbooks???)

BTW, hope your son enjoy his school life no matter which nurseries you choose at last.

N&I's ma: I didn't realise that Victoria (homantin) is already operating. When did your son start his pre-nursery class. Does that mean in August, he will start in their K1 class? Do they offer playgroup sessions at the moment?

I have some friend's kids studying in Victoria. Their English is pretty good and they have happy school life. If my son likes this school, I don't need to apply for K1 in other kinder next year. I don't have any idea on HKPS.

i don't know the books i saw is for home reading or for class teaching. did you attend the registration date? if yes, you should know there is a room which showed the books for pre-nursury to k3.

i feel being cheated that when i know there is a pre-nursury class starting 10 days ago. actually, i would like to let my son start the pre-nursury class from this March in Victoria; however, when i called Victoria in Feb, the staff told me that they will open all the classes (playgroup, k1,2,3) except pre-nursury class, the pre-nursury class will not be opened until AUG.

anyway, for the english level (english environment), do you know which school is better? Victoria? HKPS? Keenmind? or other ...

Hi everyone,
My daughter is studying K1 at Victoria - HH, this year she still enjoys her school life very much. Reagarding homework, nothing serious just mark making not even started to write ABC nor 123. I think almost 3.5K a month is kinda worth because Victoria is a famous kindergarden (the best is Causeway Bay AM), when your child goes Primary school interview, the interviewers wont know much about your kid in 3 mins but they do know the kingergarden, Victoria is not on the top 5 list but still....but the age range of the student is kinda large (1 year), my daughter is the young one Aug, 2001. some of her students are 1 year older than her and at this age, one year can make a big different. Thats why she is always be the minor actress at any performance like X'mas show because she couldn't speak as clear as the 4 years old when she was 3! Anyway so far I am very satified with their education system. The school can make both students and parents very happy
