| Dear AJL, Try searching 奧林匹克數學 & you'll find a lot of materials. The gist is, it trains the child problem solving skills, alternative ways of thinking. I'm not sure if YMCA can do this, but the schedule fits into my timetable for my boy's summer courses. I noted you had also post a topic on 珠心算. My personal opinion is 珠心算 & 奧林匹克數學 are two extreme ends of a rope. If your child doesn't like conventional schooling & is good at maths, it's worth trying. There are a lot of books in the Mongkok bookstores (See 好書分享). |
