What is your expectation on the teacher and child? Will you be willing to sit in at all of the classes and practice with the child during the first three years? Have you read any materials written by Suzuki on how he suggest that we teach a child music?

The Suzuki teaching method for piano & violin ( originally first violin ) is very famous worldwide to teach young kids ( ~ 2 yrs old for violin & 4 for piano ) to play these musical instrument .

There is also one Suzuki recognised music centre in HK , if interested , I can pm the contacts for you. For their courses are very full, pls be prepared to wait for quite some time.

The only drawback about Suzuki is that a child may have problem with reading music (sight reading). I am not aware of any certified Suzuki teacher in HK. Can SLI PM me the teacher's details as well. Thanks.
