I met Ms. Lo during the 2nd interview. She seems very nice with a friendly smile.

By the way, does anyone know when will the result be annouced?

Is the 2nd interview still progress? When is the last interview date? Some parents said two questions had been asked for each of parents, but there is parent said just one question being asked. Any difference between these? Do the parents' performance in the 2nd interview count on the final result?

yes, parents' performance count. but forgot the percentrage la ! are you satisfied of the 2nd interview ? some of the kids came out and said they did very well ! :wink:

So scaring. Your description sounds like it is a university interview, not an interview for 6-year boys.

But I believe your description is correct because once in my son's drawing school, I saw a DBSPD P1 boy. He's quite 'rude', big voice, do things without any hesitation, big size, sporty outlook, didn't pay attention to details but gave me an impression that he's very brave. I think DBS prefers intake such boys.

Not necessarily. Please do not stereotype the DBS boys. I got a few friends that graduated from DBS (all the way from primary school to secondary school), they are very nice and gentle with good English. But I also met a guy (my ex-colleague) who is rude, scolding and swearing at his staff. I think it is based on the quality of a person and how he was raised by his family.

DBSPS Interview Questions & Fairness ?

彥彥媽咪, I am on your side...

It is very interesting to see that those people who hold an opposite opinion are mostly new users...  Is it because they also feel that it is wrong and therefore do not dare to show their real identity ?  Anyway, they are minority in the world...

Disclosing exam questions is not new.  This practice has been there since there were human. People gossip a lot once they finished the exam.  Parents have been discussing even if there were no bk.

Is it really a matter to the school ? I don't think so.  This is the real world.  If you the principal, what will you do knowing what is actually happening...

There are two major topics mentioned in 彥彥媽咪's first email (1 - the process, 2 - the questions).  On item 1, if you have ever attended the school briefing, you should have already known from the headteacher that the interview is conducted in Cantonese, and any others (though she didn't mention the timer/stopwatch).  It gave me an impression that the school is also happy to let you know the process of interview.

Regarding item 2, the headteacher also mentioned in the briefing that you would not be able to guess what would be asked - the topics would be very wide and would be different for each candidates.  Even your kid attended the interview class, there is no use...

I hope I didn't scare any parents. It was actually not that bad since the teachers in the interview were friendly. And most of the boys came out of the interview were quite happy in general.

Hi bvddw,

Sorry for causing some misunderstanding here, if that's my fault.

In fact I think the boy I met is not a really rude boy so I add quotation mark to the word 'rude'.

I just wish to give some hints to those worrying parents that the school MAY choose some boys with such personality + outlook. So if their kids failed, they would at least know sth. about the reason.

I must reiterate again here that I love that DBSPD boy in my son's drawing school very much and sometimes I wish my son will have some personality that boy has, eg. brave, big voice, etc.

Last but not the least, in my mind, DBS is a great great school !!! (both my 2 good beloved younger brothers come from DBS)

And wish all your kids have a very bright future, whether they're in or out DBSPD !!
