北角蘇浙幼稚園寄左信唻話下個星期要交留位費喇, 你地交唔交呀? 如果唔交, 點解呢?

I am struggling whether to pay it as SKH has accepted my girl and I paid deposit for her already.
I asked for advice from many people and they seem to favor SKH better than KC.

謝謝你的回應, 嗯...咁如果我係你, 我都會揀聖公會架, 雖然我唔知聖公會幼稚園有乜好, 但聽落個"朵"響d, 如果鍾意出名d既幼稚園, 咁都揀SKH喇!
咁KC今個星期要留位, 你留唔留呀? 噚晚同佬講: 不如唔留, 但佢堅持要留呀, 睇唻阿女讀KC既機會率真係好高啊!

what are your other choices?
I think i won't pay fee to secure the seat for am class, but may apply N1 to start mid Feb or March if possible.
I think we can get a seat very easily during mid term or K2 if we regret later, but will have only pm class.
By the way, KC's school uniform is really ugly.... I like SKH as there's no uniform and I can buy lots of beautiful clothes for my girl.

Hi,

我都仲係15/16呀! 我老公就好想比囡囡讀KC, 因為貪佢普通話教學, 佢話就算喺出面比錢囡囡學普通話六年都唔及在普通話學習環境下的三年幼稚園, 但我哋都同樣有個問題就係唔多鍾意KC小學及中學, 而囡囡又比聖瑪加利大收咗上午, 我就心儀呢間多啲, 雖然佢無小學及中學, 但唔知點解年年小學派位都入到好多好學校, 有咩意見分享吓呀?

頭痛.....

KC's Mandarin environment is good, but my friend's son was not happy there a couple of years ago, and he is now studying at Victoria with my elder daughter instead.
According to the mother, the kinder is very much a 'school'... so for a 3 years old, he is not happy because he is going to 'school' instead of going to have fun.
So if I were to pick KC, I must let my girl start N1 asap to see whether she enjoys the environment there.
Besides KC's location is a bit too remote. Want to apply N1 for my young girl but is afraid that she refuses to take school bus. If so, I have to take taxi.

但我見你出售KC既校服, 點解呀? 唔係想FOR細囡讀N1時用咩?
我其實有少少後悔放棄左好多更加既選擇, 但我佬同好多人既想法一樣, 就係佢好鍾意KC有好強好強既普通話同埋中文基礎, 而呢樣野...的確係好多幼稚園provide唔到既, 阿女有呢三年咁好既普通話基礎, 對佢將來會非常有用, 但在我唻講, KC既環境, 老師畀我既感覺, 都真係好"學校"FEEL, 同我另一間響手既, 好唔同, 其實我另一間係啟思, 如果講要讀得開心, 啟思一定開心過KC, 但我佬覺得, 從自有適當既壓力係應該既, 太開心, 反而好似太溫室咁, 所以...如果考唔到最後呢間(未面試), 會有90%讀KC架喇!

Hi YY_BB,
校服仲未賣出,想自用但又好多麻煩嘢.  慢慢講先.  I shall undergo an operation next week and stay in ward for another 4 days.  My in laws will come back from Australia to take care of me and my family during this time.  But they will only stay for a month.  My own mother is in Vancouver and as she is awaiting 入籍,暫時不能回港.
I am having a serious cold now and force myself to stay home and rest because I don't want to reschedule the operation.  My dr. will be on 2 weeks' holiday 3 days after my operation.  So if i cannot make the operation next week, I will have to wait for another 2.5 weeks, and by that time, my in laws will be leaving.  So I will not apply N1 now and will wait till after Chinese New Year and may start school Mid Feb or early March.
Although this is my perfect plan, but KC may not admit my girl because I won't pay 留位費 on Sat.
My girl still wears nappies and is very slow in speech development.  Can she take school bus by herself to school?  Can she communicate with others, e.g. ask the staff to change nappies for her.  If not, will I be fit enough to take her to school everyday?  So am I going to stay there for 3 hours till school finishes and take her home?

My other choice is to let her study Victoria with her sister in Eng/Putonghua class.  But as I did not pay registration fee to Victoria, Victoria may not admit my girl too.  I think she should be oK taking school bus with her elder sister.
But the purpose of studying N1 is I want to check out whether KC is good or not.  But even if KC is good, SKH is within walking distance from my place and everybody asks me to choose SKH instead of KC.
So my thoughts are quite chaotic and i haven't sorted out yet.

I will not pay the KC registration fee also. Most probably will stay in Victoria as he is studying in pre-nursery and I satisfied with it. I also think KC may not be as attentive to students as Victorial which they are good at taking care of such small kids and make them happy.

我囡囡都係讀緊 Victoria PN, 但我唔會比佢在 Victoria 讀幼稚園, 因為一啲升小學的原因, 所以就好頭痛比佢讀蘇浙 or 聖瑪加利大, 到現在都仲未有定案....

I think what your husband's thought is right. I face this type of dilemna as well - KC or someother school. I think I will make up my mind on to let her explore to the Mandarin environment the earlier the better, so that in her later stage she will have more time for other language learning.

She is now in KC N1. Great improvement in Mandarin, so far she is quite happy in school and have talked to some other parents, they find their kids has no resistance of going to school and feel quite happy there. I will attend the parent meeting this week, could check for you the napkin case. But is your child able to tell or ask for a for napkin change.

Sometimes she says wee wee right after she wee wee, but not every time.
Can you tell me a bit more about N1.
How many days sports uniform? Any homework for N1? Is the school strict on the kind of shoes to wear to school? Can students wear color sports shoes?
