The recent newsletter from ESF also mentions the issue of govt withdrawing the subvention, which is a matter of when and how.
Now govt has allowed ESF to build 2 private schools to take most local students, so as to release spaces in ESF schools to foreign students. Yet it is really not logical as local kids of taxpayers have to pay full fees without any subsidies, while taxpayers have to subsidize school fees of foreign students in ESF.
Local students should enjoy the same education subsidies from govt in all kinds of schools as we have paid for it. In other countries, it is very common that local students pay less fees than international students, so why can't ESF use the same policy?
