I will choose St. Catherine!
I think I can give you some comment as my elder son was in DH Ling Liang before and my younger son was in St. Catherine. In my opinion, Ling Liang's concept on active learning is good but it still needs time for the school to work it out as schools spends too much time on preparing for the activities for the children. There are still rooms for improvements on how to balance play and learn. I believe that children can learn from playing and through funny activities. I can't say my son can't learn from Ling Liang, but his talent can be better explored if the school can spend much more time on the children themselves rather than doing so many 'beautiful' artworks. But for religious aspect, I do really appreciate what the preacher done. She was really a great lady that brought Jesus lively in front of the children.
For St. Catherine, I will comment it as a well-balanced kindergarten for children. There are enough creative and stimulating school activities for both children and parents. Communication between parents and school is also good. My son had a very happy lives there. For K1 pupils, there are only few so called 'homeworks' for them, such as drawing dot-to-dot lines, coloring and cutting newspaper which parents used to do with their children at home. And St. Catherine's language training is also good. Pupils there are confident in speaking English and they loves to talk to foreigners.
If you are looking for a school that can provide your child both happy life and better language environment, St. Catherine should be your choice!
P.S. (We are the most significant model of our children, I beleive that if your family always walk with Jesus, your child will follow you no matter the school he studied is having religious background or not!)
