請問慈雲山「音小」是否好易入？

我問每個有報名的家長﹐佢都話收左﹐真係找不到有人話reject。

唔係喎，我有朋友2位仔仔都有音樂底都唔收啊!!!!

我諗佢收生會比直資的預多d，因為佢係私校，有好多人都係做後備，學校有哂經驗，遲d一定有一批唔讀，所以佢收生比率係會比其它直資多些~~

Sensible parents would apply for those primary schools which they believe are good, e.g. education philosophy, academic strength, total development of students, etc. Whether a School is "easy" to get in does not matter at all.

ICQM is unique in a sense that it places great emphasis on music and religion. Not many parents will TOTALLY accept this education philosophy. Hesitant parents do not bother to submit an application. Having such a natural filter, this may explain why people have a "feeling" that ICQM is easy to get in.

some parents are very shallow and only judge a school by how difficult to get in, they don't really look at the school philosopy, quality of teachers and whether the school's curriculum is suitable for their kids.

I personally know some kids got rejected by ICQM, would this make this school more attractive now??

My son was rejected too.....This school was originally our first target... I like it's philosophy very much, especially after I read many amazing testimoniesy/stories from the booklet the school distributed to parents at the briefing session. I believe the teachers there were full of love and kids can gain a lot of virtues in learning music ...

I was a bit upset about the rejection, because I know my son has good musical sense, but his character and poor social skill probably affected his performance in the interview...but later I accepted and believe that God will always prepare what's the best for my son.

Is the school easy to get in? I don't think so.. I think the school is gaining in reputation and would select the candidates according to their criteria, which probably more related to demonstration of good musical sense (regardless whether the kid has learned musical instrument or not).

My son is accepted by ICQM.
The school refused to tell how many vacancies left in the briefing session in August, 2007 but I saw a lot of kids attending the interviews in September, 2007. (Some kids have already been selected in the summer vacation).
Some of my son's classmates are also selected by the ICQM in the first round selection exercise.
I think the school is good and the teachers are very nice and caing. I have good impression to them when I went to the school to submit the application form, attend the briefing and the interview.

我有朋友個仔都收咗！不過講真，我就唔係咁鍾意呢間學校喇！宗教味道太重了！(可能我唔係教徒啦！):loveliness:

My son got rejected by ICQM. It's our very first target school as we are Christians and my son has very strong musical sense (believe me, I have grade 8 piano competence)and we thought God should lead us there. Well, God's answer was no

. I was a bit upset at first (and my husband just couldn't believe it

) but as I know God has always planned for us, we gladly accepted what was given to us.

So, this counts as another tally toward the "not-in" group

. I am not going to comment on whether it's easy to get in.

I feel that those talkative boys are likely be rejected by the school. My daughter attended a english playgroup and one of the boy is rejected by the school. But I found that he was quite smart and did the class work very fast.
