It is very difficult to get into KGV Y7 as they don't even have enough spaces for the Y6 ESF students in the zone.  There are 9 to 10 classes per grade in Y7 and 8 already and still  some Y6 students have to be rezoned and allocated to Island School this year.  You can try to apply but chance is slim.  For Chinese, they have heritage class for those switched from local schools to ESF primaries.  Chinese learning is never a key decision factor for choosing IS.  If you expect very high level of Chinese standard, better consider local govt or DSS schools.

Wymon, thanks for telling me the real situation. I won't ask for a very high Chinese standard in IS. However, I'd like to see if they have a structured approach in Chinese teaching.
