I just received the notice about the school bus fee adjustment in next term.  The charge would be up to HK810 from 麗港城 to 將軍澳.  It would be around HK40 per day and HK$20 per journey for just two MTR stations.  I think they just force the kids to back to school on their own.  I am not sure how about different bus line or whether it would be industry standard price.  I have been making noise to the school many many yearsbut never see any progress so far.  It is very disappointing !

講到校車問題, 又真係忍唔住要贊下優才.  優才好多野都歡迎家長參與, 包括同校車公司傾價錢, 路線, 甚至乎對外招標.  

如果有家長對校車服務不滿意, 好應該加入家教會的校車小組, 親自參與與校車公司制定來年的合約.  雖然最終可能都改變唔倒任何野, 但豈馬自已都會更了解個中的難處.

I understand PTA and school administration department spent a lot of effort to improve the school bus service.  Unfortuntely, it is nothing improved so far in last few years except the price keep increasing. I aware there is not much school bus company available in the market but I just aware one third of the students would not take school bus next term from the same housing estate.  On the positive side, my son will be P5 next term, he can go to school himself.  IT should not be our issue any more.

It seems the market price is only $450 from 油塘 to 調景嶺.  It sounds that is almost double the price from other school.  No wonder number of students would consider not taking the service next term.  The school bus company just want to squeeze us. Anyway, it just a simple supply and demand rule. Higher supply cost just decrease the demand. They would still not be able to make good money.
