My son studyign at Pui Ching P6, found very difficult to decide, kindly pls help to give me some advice.
My son is 20 to 30/318 pupils, strict in to Pui Ching Secondary School definitely no problem, but it is Chinese MI, but if I choose other EMI school at the kowloon city distriict seeems downgrade to a smaller school ?? (except La Salle, chance is low)
My son like Chan Sui Ki La Salle, but it is a band 2 school now.
Pls give some advice.

I think you need to decide based on
the ability of your son.
See whether his english/chinese
is better.
Studying in 中中 doesn't mean that
his english will worse than an EMI
student.Some student can get higher
marks if they study in 中中.
But i think stuents studying in 中中
need to put more effort in english.
And some more i want to say....
studying in an EMI can really helps
to improve the english ability.
Students can learn more words in
(Science,History,Geography etc)
and have a good study environment

In my opinion,i think your son should
enter an EMI school as he got quite
satisfactory result.

Chan Sui Ki La Salle is Band1~2.This school's sports are good.If your son likes sports,it is a good choice.
Other suggestions(EMI):
Hoi Ping
Wa Ying
Carmel
Wong Fut Nam
They are all in Band1(middle)

Dear IK362,

Thanks for your advice.

I have another option is to move to Yau Tsim Mong, and put Wah Yan or St. Frances as 1st choice at Central Allocation, as they open about 200
seats for band 1 student, but I know their compettion is very keen at that area, my risk maybe quite high if unlucky that 1st choice is not succeeded, no other good school offer there.

What do you think ? Pls advice, many thanks.
