Which of the following schools is better for studying A-level?

1. Kingswood School, Bath
2. Berkhamsted Collegiate School
3. Bedford School

According to the league table they are all fairly similar -
Kingswood 126
Berkhamsted 138
Bedford 148
You can check their individual school inspection report at www.isi.net

Hi,

I think the league table is meaningless, as I used to study in UK for A-level and University, dont think you should choose school base on that. I used to study in a girl school for A-level, I think it is a pretty good school and the most important thing is that they dont have too many Chinese which allows you to use and speak more English. If too many Chinese studying together you will just stick together and nevery have chance to improve your English. I am very welcome to provide you the information if you need.

Thanks for your views.  
Would you pls advise me which of the following UK schools is better for my son to study in 6th form with science subjects?  They are all give offers to my son and the deadline is late Dec.

1. Bedford School (Boys)
2. Berkhamsted Collegiate School
3. Kingswood School, Bath

Dear Cafuli,
I'm planning to send my son to UK. Which year do you think is the most appropriate? I have done some research, some says Grade 7, some Grade 9 and some even Grade 12.  Financially speaking, the later the better, but I'm concerned about how to secure a space. Is it more difficult to get a place at higher grades?  Besides, which shire would you recommend if I want to find a place without or with only a few Chinese.
