本來根德園收o左我個細仔入讀今年k1，但早前又突然收到st. cat話有新校舍，所以有位(pm)收我個仔。
宜家心大心細...唔知點揀~
我個細仔係大仔，反應快、手腳靈活(似猴子)，醒目，但不太守規矩，而且好硬頸，幾惡教=_="
我o地住黃埔，返根德要坐校車；返st.cat k1行就得喇，不過k2 & k3都要坐校車。
究竟邊間o岩佢呢??
各位靚媽，比少少意見oY~

真係好難揀.

KV 夠傳統, 上小一有優勢, 唔洗太花時間適應.

ST. CAT 冇意見, 因為唔係用家.....但一定係好學校.

非常同意樓上各位所講既,睇下自己想要D乜野囉.諗番同一日收到St.cat同KV既信,都係AM,自己第一個信念就係KV,因為以後會入讀傳統小學多D.

Sorry I don't know much about KV so I won't comment.

One more reference point about SC: If you have more time to spend with kids, then SC would be a good choice because you are expected to do revision with them, and the school would tell you when the exams are going to be held, what to be tested.

And parents would be expected to do "data collection" with the kids on a regular basis (at least once a week, if not more).

You would also be asked to do volunteer in school (once or twice a year), and go to school trip with them (twice a year).

If you have time, then it's good. If you don't have time, then you should re think about it or it would create pressure on you.

我覺得兩間都好，St. Ca學費較貴。我表哥個細仔讀K1在 KV，而大仔之前讀St. Ca現在讀小三在喇沙讀，我表哥說他讀小一時都接得很好，因為St. Ca都很深及多功課，K2下學期巳兩位加數，K3巳重組句子。他說兩間都好好，給你參考。

Both are good.
It really depends on what you want.
If $ is not the major concern, I would suggest St. Cat's.

General comparisons:

SC - Good English environment, Systematic training in phonics (no need to enrol in tutorial class outside), better common sense & more curiosity, pupils are given opportunities to present themselves, so more creative and presentable in general.

KV - Good Chinese proficiency esp in recognizing and writing words, more academic oriented, pupils are more disciplined. If promoted to CMI school, easier to catch up.

My children studied at SC while a few of my friends' kids study at KV. We came up with the above obserations. Hope it's useful to you.

Well. It is a hard choice. My son got both am offer from St. Cat and KV, but I did not register for KV. Why?? I prefer a more happy (or less tense?!?) environemnt for him to learn and let him build up interest in learning. I know my son - learn quick but very active, so I beleive he will probably have a harder time dealing with the teachers in KV.
I graduated from KV, so of course I would say that KV is a good school as well! As a reference point, my two brothers graduate from St. Cat and I graduated from KV..., but my mom told me to go for St Cat for my son.
anyway, just trust yourself and be happy!

我個女以前讀KV, KV一入學個先生就同我地講交比佢哋就得啦, 唔洗操心, 我開心到不得了, 又唔知幾時考試, 總之到時到侯就派成績, 樣樣表現都好好, 所以我勁 like KV.

我女現在已讀初中, 成績一路都keep住好好, 佢讀嘅小學同中學都是好多家長的選擇.

所以比我揀我會揀KV.

我大仔o個時讀st cat, 佢性格較定, 我地覺得都唔算輕鬆, 日日都兩樣以上功課, 但上左傳統小一就涵接得好好, 英文亦唔需要我操心, 所以我對st cat好滿意。
而家細女就st cat 同kv都waiting (應該冇機會架喇), 但如果咁好彩有得揀, 我諗我會揀kv, 一來細女較活躍, 我想佢早些習慣傳統些, 到上傳統小學時唔洗再適應過, 二來聽太多人既feed back都係話kv既中文同數學都好強, 入左唔洗擔心, 而且學費差唔多平紅磡st cat 既一半! (如果係記錯, 而家st cat call waiting 既只係得紅磡係咪?)
