請問有冇家長既小朋友讀過? ok 嗎? 聽人說此校英文好好, 可否分享下。
我睇過有人 post 每星期2天英文堂, 2 天國語, 1天蒙特梳利, 是否真的?

My girl attended RHS PN last year. I think it is a good school. The teachers are caring.
She had NET for English (2x/wk) and PTH (2x/wk) and 1 day Montessori. She was taught phonics in English lessons.

I heard that the PN & Kindergarten are good but the primary and secondary schools are not good. Is it true? Which primary school RNS students mostly allocate to?

My daughter is going to study in RHS in this Sept for PN. I am quite impressed during the Parents day held on last Saturday. The teacher is super caring and organized. She even email each parents about the details and the arrangement (it's not a school memo) on the first day of school. She even research on the internet to suggest the white shoes (substitute for 白飯魚)  for the kids.

In order for the kids to get used to the school life, she even send us her photo in advance so we can show the kids. I am really happy that i have chosen this school for my daughter

Dear CMIR,

Yes! It is very nice of the teacher's detailed summary of the briefing last Sat.
Dear Fefe Mom,

Can you do us a favor to share what your child learnt during PN?

Many thanks~~

Last year, there were around 20 students in my daughter's class about 50% girls 50% boys. They had 2 Cantonese teachers to take care of them + 2 NET teachers for English and 1 PTH teacher.
But there seems to be more boys from K1 onwards as some girls leave for other kindergartens.

Ammeyogi, you can check their P1 allocation from the website: http://www.rhs.edu.hk/kg/ but I don't think it is updated for 10/11.
From my experience, RHS PN is very good and I guess kindergarten should also be good, both for academic and moral teaching.
As for primary school, I just know they have small class teaching and few classes (2 per year?). Don't know about academic results. In my student days, RHS secondary school is not very brilliant. Again, I have no first hand experience.

They have different topic books (Chinese) from Sept to Jun. Songs, rhymes (開心兒歌) and some Chinese characters were taught.

English: Two books conversation & rhymes were used. The letters A-Z & a-z were taught, as well as MELS phonics. They have a song for each letter: A for apple, A for angel. The sound of A is “ar ar ar” etc.

PTH: I don't know as my girl speaks very little at home. I just know she understands simple PTH (草莓=士多啤梨, 巧克力=朱古力etc.)

Montessori: I don't know either.

親子功課for weekends.

Sticker books are given for long holidays (羊羊ABC).

At school, she also learned to queue up, follow instructions... etc and pray before eating.

Hope this is useful to you. Good luck.

Hi parents,
I have just spoken with the kindergarten staff over the phone about enrollment for my girl next year.
My girl was born in November 2009, that mean she will be 2y8m2weeks old on the 1st-Aug ...

My child born in late Dec 2009.  Am planning to enrol my daughter to pre-nursery and may try a few kindergartens.  My girl will be just 2 years and 8 months (just meet the minimum requirement).
I saw a few kindergartens - they accept children born in Jan-Dec 2009.  And I asked them if its okay if I apply for 2012/2013 K1 Admittance - will I not meet the requirement - For Precious Blood - the staff I talked to - she says its my choice.  They won't omit/disregard my application if I go for 2012/2013.  For truelight - the staff said they prefer to take big kids but again she did mention that if I am confident my child can compete with the big kids then I am always welcome to try.  If not, I can apply the following year.
