my son started the kumon (Math) when he was 2yr 11mth, because he has no school in the daytime,
and i just wanted him to kill time, and this was the first thing he asked for, as sometimes we walked by the kumon centre and saw students lined up in front of the classroom, now he is 3.5 yr, and has been rasied up to 4 grades since he started. he enjoys very much going there and doing homework, and indeed he has learnt a lot and i must say that the teachers are very kind and caring. last month in May he also started to learn the English kumon as well and feel very happy with it.
for me, i dont really focus on how much he has learnt, I just want him to have good attitude in learning, coping with teachers, learn to pay attention, but not the academic result, but the outcome is really surprising for me and my hubby.
