Playgroup & 幼兒園何時需申請?


請問什麼時候需安排bb申請入讀playgroup和幼兒園?  是不是拿了出世紙便要開始申請?  我住在中環, 如果想小朋友語言能力高d, 請問邊間好呢?  選擇國際學校, 對將來入讀本地小學, 是不是有困難呢?  請指教下我, 我是新任媽咪, 都不知點算好像!

My BB is born in June. So when he was around 1 year old, I started to look for prenusery application. Normally prenusery starts application from September.

Regarding to playgroup, he started playgroup from 1 years old as well.

I don't prefer international school because it is different from local primary school. If you really want your bb study international school in the Primary/Secondary school, you can select an international kindergarten. Otherwise, please consider.

Mine is now 11 months old and will also appy Nursery class (09/2006) for her in the coming September.  Anyway, I'm also thinking of applying an international kindergarden.  Why I prefer her study in international kindergarden is that I hope 佢可以打好d個英文底.  However, I'm also worry that she cannot get used to the teaching method/進度 when she studies normal primary school afterwards.  As I know, when studying in international kindergarden, 係唔會教任何串字寫字; that is, 佢可能識聽識講但係就唔會識串lor.  Any others can share their experience or provide any advice??  Thanks!!

There're many playgroup and you don't need to apply for it , you just need to find the one which you want to join is ok.My son started joining the playgroup when he was 10 months.
For nursery, I have the same problem as you.The one I want my son to study is a international nursery,but when he grows up he will study in the normal primary school , I am also afraid that he will difficult to follow the standard.

原來大家都有相同的煩惱, 希望bb語言能力好, 但又怕唔不以讀番本地小學, 如果是這樣, 有無一間幼兒園/幼稚園英文程度是比得上國際學校的呢?

If you are referring to the playgroup in Victoria, you need to apply earlier but I guess they only accept application if your baby has already over 1 years old. My son applied the playgroup when he was 1 years old. When he is around 1.5yr, we received the call from Victoria. And now he is going to the playgroup in Victoria Harbour Height once a week.

If you are referring to the prenusery, it depends when Victoria starts the application for next yr. My son was born in June 2003 and I applied for Victoria in around Sept/Oct 2004. He got interview in Nov and admission to the prenusery in 2005.
