My husband and I are satisfied with the school space and facilities. According to Doctor Law, the area for canteen/swimming pool has been approved by government. Since he was very busy to explain the arrangements to other parents this afternoon, I didn't ask him the details. I guess the area should be behind the school.

點解無課本嫁？全部都係習作黎，
咁點上堂呀？點温習呀？
咁點解無中文課本？只有兩本
教寫字嫁習作？？？
仲有我好想知道個泳池會係室內定室外，
套恤衫校服係有喜慶日子穿，
什麽叫做喜慶日子呢？
還有學校講學校提倡普通話及英語交談，
咁點解唔覺有說普通話老師在場，而外藉英
語老師只得一位，開學後唔知會唔會多D呢？

Some books are not supplied yet as they are procured from overseas.

They are :
Backpack 2                Longman
Backpack Workbook2 Longman
Text type Book 2          Oxford

I think the school encourages more readings and adopt bookmax approach, so it won't require additional textbooks to push students to do homeworks or exercises.

The formal uniform might require to wear during some special events such as graduation ceremony etc.

During the parents day for P1-3 held in May, the Puntongua/ English teachers have briefly introduced the academic background and working experience one by one.

29/5的家長會中有講到各科的教學安排，你亦可到『家長通告及學校安排資訊』中『May 29 Parents Day』內下載。資料中有詳述各科的教學目標，架構，學習材料及預計的成效...。

以往的家長會中有提及，泳池及飯堂仍學校自資興建，非千禧校舍的標準設施，需收校舍後才開始興建。我認為，新校來說，能準時收校，已算幸運。

May I know except the monthly school fee $1700, Is there will have any other charge ? How mush for the books fee ?

Book fee is ~$600 for text book and another $600 per annum for a Bookmax scheme – every student is expected to read 10 books per month.

Pui Kiu uses US text book for English; "Backpack" is widely used in States.

I don't think we need to worry about Chinese teachings; it's the strength of Pui Kiu. For English, they are teaching this through reading, drama, theme-based activity. It’s different from the traditional teaching method in HK and close to the international school in this respect.

For Maths, it’d use Mandarin as the teaching medium and it follows the local curriculum.

The school has got a pool of excellent teachers and well-designed curriculum; I’m yet to see the implementation, will post here for information sharing.

Swimming pool and canteen is about to complete in late Yr’2006, it has been clearly stated during the parents’ forum.

Hope the above helps and we should understand the characteristics of the school before we make a choice.

By the way, can we share how we plan the activities for our children during this summer holiday ?

Every day, my son will do one exercise (around 2 pages) for each major subject (Chinese, Maths & English). He has two swimming lessons every week and he will attend English Phonics course and Puntongua lesson starting from next week.
